    Default Shingles.

    Oh Holy Hell!!!

Been home the past few days after I was diagnosed with shingles. Oh, what pain. Doc did give me a persciption, but you don't cure it; you still have to ride it out.

Anyone else ever suffered through this?

My husband had shingles several years ago over Christmas on his face (forehead, between his eyes, and on one of his eyelids). He was in extreme pain. The doctor gave him meds, as well, but you're right in that you just have to ride it out. One thing he was told to do (but did NOT do) is to put vitamin E (not a lotion but pure vitamin E) on the shingles to help prevent scarring. He had one huge scab between his eyes that left him with a very deep and nasty scar. I'm sure he's wishing now he'd taken that advice. Hope you feel better soon.

My son's grandfather is battling through that as I post here. We had to cancel a bbq until he's better.

Sorry to hear but hope you get better soon.

ouch....sorry dude, I feel for you.....I had those mofo's about 7 years ago and the only thing that relieved my pain was a constant wet towel across my chest. I only had it across my chest and the pain was horrible.

Apparently my doctor said it comes from the same virus as chicken pox. So anyone who had chicken pox in the past can get shingles when that same virus is reactivated.

Fortunately, its only on my chest & back (not the face) and I'm about at the midway point in terms of pain. I have a follow up Friday morning. Hopefully, I'll be able to enjoy Sammy Friday night and not be in pain, although a few Waborita Friday night will probably make me forget about it anyway!!!

My brother-in-law has it on his head right now. It's the most painful thing he's ever experienced.

The Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets whatever you want to call them, have NEVER displayed "SOX" anywhere on their caps, jerseys, or merchandise, therefore they shouldn't be referred to as such. However, the White Sox have used "SOX" since 1912.

The SOX are in Chicago...we just allow the Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets to use the name.

I had it a long time ago like around my waist/stomach. They told me it was shingles, but it wasn't painful...just annoying. ?? Maybe cause of the location or something

    Default Shingles Shuck

Dude, I had em two years ago. What a nightmare. I had them on my entire right side. From my shoulder down to my knee. I thought I was dying. And they hurt on the inside too...like deep muscle pain or something...
Just when I thought I couldn't take any more, they started to subside...but I wasn't 100% for about 3 months.

I hope you get rid of them quickly. Good luck. Get a lot of rest.

Had it between my eyes, then ran across an eyelid. Eye puffed up to where I couln't see. I try to describe to people what it feels like: needles, burning, sore, etc. Never could explain but to say "all of the above". Can't remember, either cool or warm washcloth was the only thing that eased it along with time. Good luck. A blowjob may ease some of the pain!
