Now I don't think I've ever seen Sammy do anything that cool before!

That was alright. Lyrics were good. A curiously safe vocal performance, but damned if he sounds any worse for the wear after more than three decades.

For a second, I was wondering if 'Trose any real musicians besides Sammy and the drummer on that night's performance - but I way dug the attitude on 'em, that's for sure.

Pretty blatant imitation of the Who, at least from the three guys up front. Carmassi knew better than to imitate Keith Moon. And what's up with the Mood Ring from Hell that Sammy was wearing?

His hair looks like Jim Morrison's did only lighter, that real thick, wavy look.

Man, Sammy's voice hasn't changed a bit in 30 years. You can't tell 1974 from 2004 with this guy.
    .

    .
VH with Dave ('78-'84) - The best years....the "real" VH.
VH with Sam ('86-'96) - Incredible era....."We have renamed this town 'New Halen!'.
VH with Gary ('98) - Fucking disaster. WTF was that??
VH with Wolf/Dave ('12-'15) - Amazing comeback. Smokin' album and tours.

Montrose was bad ass. Sammy is a cool dude, aging well, unlike some other people we know.
