    Default Dreams Video

I just finished watching the one that was recorded at the Whiskey for the band's 15 year anniversary. Did they record the whole show or just Dreams?

Kinda like the idea that they only recorded those three tracks from Oakland '81.

Why would a cameraman shut down his unit for any reason at any show? LOL

Complete Whiskey Reunion footage as well as Oakland '81 is surely out there.

I see no reason why they wouldn't have just kept it rolling.

    It's all out there somewhere.

Yeah why the eff go through all the trouble of setting up all that crap and then record only 3 songs from the FW tour?? The cameras were on thru the whole show guys, I'm telling ya.

Sure w/b nice if they'd turn loose with some of that.

I've heard a rumor that the Oakland masters have deteriorated over time, and that it's supposedly such a mess that releasing it would be impossible.

This would certainly be consitstent with Ed's neglectful attitude towards anything to do with preserving Van HALEN's legacy, including his own fucking ability to play the guitar, which was practically non-existent on the Velveetapalooza 2004 tour.

Even so, I'm hoping these rumors are wrong. These days, they have great technology for restoring films & videos in poor condition.

I hope you're right. The band was tight during Dreams.

If there truly is a God, we will one day see all of this in a nice double-live dvd.
