    Default Congratulations to the CAROLINA HURRICANES!!!

    Well done, fellas! What an amazing trip this year!

    I went to Game 2 of the Finals, and it was rockin'! They played less than great in Game 6 coupled with some suspect officiating at times...didn't matter - we came out on fire in Game 7 and THE CUP is ours!!! YES!

    From the official website: http://www.caneshockey.com/
    ==================

    STORM WARNING: HURRICANES ARE STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS
    CANES ROOKIE CAM WARD NAMED PLAYOFF MVP, WINS CONN SMYTHE TROPHY
    Justin Williams, Aaron Ward and Frantisek Kaberle all lit the lamp to lead the Carolina Hurricanes to a dominating 3-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final Monday night at the RBC Center in Raleigh. With the win, the Hurricanes captured the first Stanley Cup in franchise history. Rookie netminder Cam Ward stopped 22 shots for his 15th postseason win, earning the Conn Smythe Trophy for his efforts. | RECAP | BOXSCORE | SCORESHEET | SUPERSTATS | TRIPP's TIPS | GAME NOTES | LINEUPS
