Default MOE.'S DRUMMER HAD VH SYMBOL ON HIS BASS DRUM LAST NIGHT IN CENTRAL PARK

For those of you who don't know who Moe. is- they are maybe the best jam-band around today. They are from upstate NY and a decent nationwide following- they mix, hardrock, blues, and rock. They often sound like Van Halen, AC/DC, the Dead, etc. Well last night, the drummer had put the classic Van Halen symbol (using white tape) on his bass drum. I couldn't believe it at first (I was baked), but I got up close and took some photos.-I'll post them tomorrow. Anyway, the band played over 3 hours in Central Park, and quite simply rocked out. They only played 14 songs- that tells you how long they jammed out some songs, including "Paranoid Android" by Radiohead, and snippets of "Enter Sandman" by Metallica. Anyway, seeing them pay homage to their roots with the Van Halen thing made this already great show, an even better one. -Seeing that made my night

I'm sure Mr. Van Halen's attorneys will be contacting said drummer soon. You may want to stand by as they may wish to get a statement from you as well!

Mike is gone, but not forgotten. They played some amazing shows from 2007-2015; some people are in denial about it.

Nah, seriously, I like moe, but sometimes, I just want the jam to stop for a minute, so I can digest the nuances a little before we go into the next one. That's pretty much the same thing I get with most jam bands. Sometimes it would be nice to chop that 19 minute version down to a solid 12:30, ya know?

I hear you. I've left some of their shows before they ended sometimes because I was worn out (they played for almost 4 hours, I was just jammed out). Sometimes they jam for 30 minutes or so, and I get lost, and don't even remember what song pre-empted the jam to begin with. I think they get lost in themselves too.
