Default Huey Lewis & the News!

I bought their new CD+DVD collection today, and it's awesome! The CD has 21 tracks (one is a live recording), and the DVD has 9 music videos and a live performance of "Workin' For A Livin'" with the Tower Of Power horns filmed live at the Country Club in Reseda, CA on 4/29/82. Now, I wonder if Capitol/EMI will do a Hits/Videos combo for Go West or Queensr˙che.

I Want a New Drug always reminds me of Ghostbusters since Ray Parker Jr. was sued for plagiarizing the song...

That video does indeed kick serious ass. Good thing it's one of the videos on the DVD!

Was thinking of buying it myself, but I already have Fore, Sports and The Best Of. Might as well get it though just to support the boys. Chris Hayes is a very good guitar player, and the whole band is tight as fuck. Gotta love the music vids too.

    Great band!

I was just looking at this today - didn't think it came out until next week. I like the lineup better than Time Flies.... The four new songs (are gone and replaced by 10 other songs. Only thing I would've done differently was drop "Trouble In Paradise (live)" and kept "Bad Is Bad". Anyone familiar enough to know if it's the same version of "The Power of Love" as Time Flies... (subtle difference between that and the version that was on the Back To The Future soundtrack). Also, is the DVD included with all copies, or is that some bonus dealy only available at Best Buys on streets that end with vowels?

I refuse to buy a Huey Lewis best of that doesn't have "It Hit Me Like A Hammer" or "Walking On A Thin Line" on it.
Sports was the second album I owned. The first was Def Leppard Pyromania and the third was Wierd Al's In 3-D. Well, two out of three ain't bad.

"Walking on a Thin Line" was definitely one of Huey's better songs. It should be on a best of. Hell, I'm just pissed that my "rare" B-Side 45 RPM of that live "Workin For A Livin" with the horn section ain't so rare anymore.

Yep, "Walking On A Think Line" is a great tune. I also dig "Finally Found A Home."

I might have to pick this up just for the vids...

The whole Sports album was their high water mark, not only in sales & popularity, but craftsmanship, as well. The whole thing just smokes. That was one of the very first albums I ever bought. Heart & Soul is their best tune, IMHO...

The Expanded / Remastered Edition is a great buy. The LIVE tracks are WAY kewl and the disc has never sounded better. Wish they'd reissue the first three records as well...
