Very cool, I had not seen that before. I would guess that is from the same event where Eddie and Jan Hammer are trading licks on what starts out as Hot For Teacher and then becomes sort of a jam riff. I can't remember the name of the event, but that particular video has been floating around for years.

"All Chucks' children are playing his licks..."

Very cool...I remember seeing this clip posted here on the Links a couple of years ago. Some of the very BEST were sharing the stage that night!

Remember the easy going happy go lucky Eddie Van Halen? I miss that guy.

That Kramer is what he needs to be playing. Thats HIS guitar, you can stripe a Peavey, a Charvel, a Les Paul or a telecaster, but Ed looks best with that damn Kramer over his shoulder and in his hands.
'Old Van Halen, when I was in it-classic Van Halen-makes you wanna drink, dance and screw, right? And the new Van Halen encourages you to drink milk, drive a Nissan and have a relationship.' - David Lee Roth.

I could not agree more. Eddie not playing the 5150 Kramer would be like Superman taking the "S" off his chest. The red, white, & black stripes are so closely associated with Van Halen. Van Halen without it would be like Mick Jagger getting a lip reduction.

That was from a tribute to Les Paul. Pretty cool to see Ed sharing the stage with BB King, David Gilmore, Stanley Jordon, Les Paul etc...
