And look at that cover! Awesome.
They are entirely derivative but there are some kicks to be had.

I have the album & it is brilliant. The next best thing to a new Led Zeppelin album.

If these guys play there cards right, they could be the best band to originate from Australia since AC/DC...

In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

I've listened to it on iTunes and plan to go buy the CD tomorrow. A great power trio ala Cream or The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Highly recommended!

Well if they can be compared to Cream, Hendrix, Zeppelin, Sabbath, and Deep Purple, they must be good! I will check them out, thanks.

    Bump.

I think Wolfmother are worth some more discussion.

Did any of you guys end up picking up a copy of their disc?

If so what did you think?

I'd certainly be interested in other's reviews or comments...

Yeah, I got it. It's pretty good. You can't really lump them with one particular band from the past. They definitely have moments where they sound like Sabbath or Led Zepplin, but there is also a song where they sound la lot like the White Stripes.

I would definitely recommend the disc though. It's nice to have a good driving CD in the car.

I went and saw these guys play about 6 months ago. They were good (although they didn't really have enough material to carry them through a full show), but I couldn't help but think at the end of the show that they were only a gimmick act. It'll be interesting to see if they survive and how they will develop their sound.

Wow! Im already impressed. I think I saw one of their videos the other night and I just thought it was some new jerk-off band but holy shit, these guys are actually good. Im listening/watching their video "Dimension" and it reminds me of something between the Who/Steppenwolf/Cream. It kind of has a Sunshine of your love vibe to it but with a Steppenwolf sound and a Who attitude (if that makes any sence). But I definatley do hear a Zeppelin/Purple/Sabbath influence in there

Im thinking I might have to pick this album up, or at least give it a good listen to before im totally sold.

BOISE STATE BRONCOS! - They're awesome. Deal with it!

11/16/04 - VAN HALEN in Boise, Idaho. Changed my life forever

8/8/06 - Sammy Hagar and the Wabos w/Michael Anthony in Boise, Idaho. Sam and Mike still kick ass
