    WINGER...

OK. Tomorrow is my birthday (30, whoa, last time I saw Van Halen i was 18..)
..And I just got the news:

NEW CD FROM WINGER IN OCTOBER..

I love them, they are my 2nd favorite band! (after VH, of course)
And I'm happy that at least 50% of the band I love are still making music..
They'll tour Europe and I'm really excited!!!

    Anybody loves Winger here?
Anybody will care about their upcoming tour?
    Please post your Thoughts..

I always thought they got a raw deal. They did get a little ballad crazy, but still a great band. Musicianship was better than almost every other hair-band. The "Pull" album was awesome! Good to see them back together.
By the way, I'm not real good with baby-steps. My specialty is ass-kicking. -DLR

Here in Italy nobody knows them (but the same goes for Van Halen, Def Leppard..). But I think they played pretty good quality music.

Ok nobody needed their version of "Purple Haze", but pull is a Hi-Quality recording, very well produced, good sounding, well played..
    All the arrangements are fenomenal...

    Very true.
Unfortunately, perception is reality with a lot of folks and Beavis & Butthead told everyone that Winger wasn't cool and the sheep followed.

I'd like to see some of their stuff remastered. Their cd's have no bottom end at all. I'm a pretty big fan, but the ballads do get on my nerves, and the cover of Purple Haze sucked IMO.

I've always liked Seventeen, Madelaine, You Are The Saint, Easy Come, Dirty Blonde and a few others. Reb is a great guitar player, and an all around great guy.

Pick up The Mob cd if you haven't already. It was great to hear Kip and Reb working together, and I'm sure the new stuff is gonna rock.

Yeah they were a great band that got a bad rap! I was just talking to my friend the other day about this. 3 amazingly talented and sought after studio muscians. There were more than a hair band.

I think Reb plays on everything Steve Lukather does not!
I saw/met Rod with the Dregs/Morse here in Florida ("hometown" crowd, all University of Miami music grads), amazing show and really nice guy.
Kip comes off as a cheeseball, but he played with Alice Cooper and a lot of studio things. He was also busy doing Orchestral arrangements a few years back.

The funny thing is people made fun of the song Seventeen, which had an amazing groove. They should go back and listen to the Beatles I Saw Her Standing There... It's about a 17 year old girl in pretty much the same situation haha... The difference:
No Beavis and Butthead! Uh huh huh.

I heard about this too recently. Even though it's not the original line up, it's still great that this awesome band is back together. I saw them in 2002. They were playing with Faster Pussycat, Cinderella and Poison. What a great show that was!
