So, what were you doing ten years ago today? Was it heading off to see Twister (the movie) just to get another dose of new Van Halen (Humans Being and Respect The Wind) ?

I still enjoy popping in the score for Twister from time to time and enjoy Respect The Wind closing out the disc.

Wow, that's hard to believe it was 10 years ago, but you are right. I was at the ripe old age of 19, and I too was heading out to see that movie just to hear where Humans Being came in the movie and watch the credits to hear "Respect The Wind."

    Wow...10 years ago.

Ah 10 years gone! That would have been 3 girlfriends ago! I remember we went to see Twister and I made us sit through the credits to hear Respect the Wind. Funny thing was that there was a serious thunderstorm that night, which was very fitting going to see Twister.

Damn..... Hard to believe that was ten years ago already. I loved Twister (Still do), and Humans Being is one of my favorite VH tunes.

Yeah a lotta things go down but Humans Being and Respect the Wind never will.

Jeez 10 years already? I think all I've got to show for it are my ten (soon to be 11) year old son and a full-time job that I'm still at.

Ten years already wow... I remember just turning 21 right about then, and stoked having the soundtrack for twister on tape. Human Beings is a killer tune still and seeing the boys play it live 2 years ago on tour was great... I think it was played! I cannot remember...

But here is to another 2 songs in 10 years

I like the melody Alex came up with on "Respect The Wind".....The cool thing is he played the keys on the recording.

10 years, well let's see. I had just graduated from high school and was preparing to join the Army. I remember going to see Twister, for the sole purpose of hearing Humans Being, which kicked ass by the way. I also remember the outrage at hearing that Sammy was kicked out of the band. Has it really ben that long? Wow. 10 years later, and I'm still in the Army and on my second tour of Iraq. With any luck, I can come home and party down in Cabo for a week, maybe catch the Birthday Bash!!!
