    Default Question:

Just a random thought for discussion: There's been a lot of talk about which CVH songs would get played by Van Hagar, or which Van Halen songs Sam or Dave play on their respective tours. What I want to know is, hypothetically speaking, if Van Halen were to tour again with Sammy, which Sammy Hagar songs would you like to hear played by the brothers? Or even this, were they to tour with Roth, which DLR songs would you like to hear them play?

    For me:
    Sammy Hagar led Van Halen:
    Heavy Metal
    Amnesty Is Granted
    Both Sides Now
    Stand Up
    The Love
    Deeper Kind Of Love

David Lee Roth led Van Halen:
    Goin' Crazy
    Yankee Rose
Just Like Paradise (Mikey on backing vocals would be better than Dave singing his own backup, I think)
    Relentless

    What do y'all think?
Come on baby(Van Halen), Finish What Ya Started. I'm incomplete!!!!!

One out of every four people is mentally disturbed. Look at your three best friends, if they all seem O.K. then it's you.

Growing old is a requirement. Growing up is an option!

Why am I a pessimist? 'Cause I'm either always proven right, or at least pleasantly surprised.

A friend will bail you out of jail. A best friend will be in the cell next to you saying, "Dude, that was freakin' AWESOME!"

Hey man, never say never, right?

For the Sammy set, have the boys do the Aerosmith switch live (remember Ed playing bass on Sam's I Never Said Goodbye?) - EVH on bass, AVH on guitar, Mike on drums - I know I'm reachin' here, but I think this would kick ass! and throw in When The Hammer Falls Down...

For Dave's I would wanna hear Tobacco Road or Shy Boy...

With Sammy , I think that Heavy Metal and Deeper Kind of Love would be great!!

Dave, Goin Crazy, Yankee Rose, and Its Showtime would rock I'm sure!! I've always thought that Ed could really add some rockin' guitar to Yankee Rose!!

A little off of subject, Lance, I've read some of the threads you've posted in and I as well would like to thank you for serving us and our country!! My grandpa is a WWII vet, and he always says that he served (in New Guinea and the Phillapines" so that my brother, cousins and I would hopefully never have to. My grandpa and his patriotism means the world to me, and so does the services of yourself and the others in the military! USA! USA!! Take care and God bless.

Thanks Brooks, you know we don't hear that kind of stuff, nearly as much as we should. Watching the news, and reading papers from home, seeing morons protesting soldiers funerals, it really makes us wonder what we have to come home to. It's getting so rediculous back there. But anyway, it's good to know that some people support us, at least. Thanks, again.

    Sammy's songs:
Eagles Fly (the way they did it in '95 was incredible and should have always been done that way)
    When the Hammer Falls
    Buying My Way Into Heaven
    High Hopes
    Red

    Roth songs:
    Yankee Rose (obviously)
    Hot Dog and a Shake
Damn Good (with a video of all the Classic, good times)
    Drop in the Bucket
    Just Like Paradise

They would have to play High Hopes or Deeper Kinda Love (sorry, I think Ed could really bring something to this song) for Sammy. As for Dave, I'd like to hear Skyscraper, Knucklebones, and Hot Dog and a Shake.
