    Default Interesting

Probably been posted before, but HERE. The 'new album' was supposed to be the second with Gary.

I was poking around at http://www.archive.org/, used the 'Wayback machine' which searches and finds old websites.

Yes, I remember that. That was when the official site was updated more than once a year.

I'd love to hear how those song were coming along.

There are a lot of good tunes on VH3. Too bad we didn't have a chance to hear their 2nd effort with Gary.

I remeber when the official site was pretty cool, pics of the guys in the stuido, videos, pics, etc.
It's a shame they only have it to save the name.
Now we have the Links and they Kick Major Ass
"I could call it anything, but the only word I can think of is Brown. It's just a warm sound. Warm, big, majestic" - Eddie Van Halen on his Tone

"Van Halen is definitely a ladies band, and Ive got the Polaroids to prove it". - David Lee Roth

WOLFGANG did the IMPOSSIBLE, he brought back VAN HALEN, DEAL WITH IT.

That was cool to look at! So much to see on that site!
Now its shit! Why don't they put all of that stuff up on the current site? Maybe then people will go over and look around! The tour dates were cool, but Brad got the Detroit shows wrong for 1984! They played Cobo Hall, not Joe Louis Arena!

good to hear that some people here listen to III, I have been reading this site for about 3 years now and just joined last week. It has always discourged me a bit to read negative crap about III.
I have been a VH fan since day one (yes that means I bought VH1 when it first came out......on cassette!!), and I have stuck with them though all the "drama". I listen to ALL Van Halen, be it Dave, Sammy, and yes even Gary. Admittedly when I first cracked open III.....I was dissapointed.....it's a hard listen....but you have to REALLY listen to it.....many times to appreciate what Edward was doing, up to that point most Van Halen work went down easy, and thats one of the reasons I love them so much, the hooks, mike's vocals, genius guitars rythems....but III is like jazz...one has look deeper....tune in a little sharper
bottom line.....III was ....and still is ......ahead of it's time
I have faith in VH fans everywhere.....in time we will find a deeper appreciation for it.

    my $.02

Ive appreciated III since it was released. Still listen to III tunes regularly...

On topic: The site in 1999 seems like distant history, so much to check out and read

Even better idea: How about some new Van Halen music?! Ya know, that's just crazy enough, to work.
Come on baby(Van Halen), Finish What Ya Started. I'm incomplete!!!!!
