In the absence of an official announcement, I'd say this is a pretty telling sign, he's done.

Yep, the link from dlr's own site that went to the radio show site now just goes to CBS Radio.

    I'd say he's done.

    Oh well poor dave...

I guess he will go to where all washed up hasbeens go... Sirius

But I do feel bad for the guy, he had no chance filling Hoo hoo howie's shoes. The show he had was unlistenable, and embarassing for CBS radio. I cannot blame Dave for the situation, since it was CBS that failed to find a suitable replacement for Howie. But this will definately right the wrong they made with Dave, and allowing Howie to do a year long commercial for the lil doggie company.

Like Opie and Dopie won't be pimping XM the whole time they are on the air? That's good for Howard though, it will help prove in his lawsuit that the dipshits at CBS don't have a leg to stand on.

Man CBS radio has really hit rock bottom.

I listened every day via the internet...I thought the show was interesting & different...especially compared to all the cookie-cutter
type shows you hear all the time on the radio, etc...usually the same old crap.
Dave DID tell some of the same stories over and over at times...like he forgot that he told them on the air a few days earlier or something...
but, overall I thought it was a bit refreshing after listening to Stern for the past 5 years.

Maybe he'll end up in a slot at Sirius...but, I don't see Eddie and Alex hooking up with him...unfortunately they are hiding somewhere!

Um the difference is that CBS is LICENSING XM's show to be rebroadcast throuugh CBS's local affiliates. A bit different then Howie blabbering about how he ran to Sirius. Much much different, it's called a partnership. I wouldn't be surprised to see CBS doing some sort of joint programming on XM too after the clear channel contract expires, in 2008 I think. But that is pure speculation on my part. I am also sure you will tune in out of curiousity... I hope the first show on CBS they do is in Howie studio and they destroy his old tapes... Now that would make me laaaaf and laaaaf

Do you think when he was given the boot he told the executives that he was an EMT, can fly a helicopter, does martial arts or he is an extensive world traveler?

I believe he did because he mentioned it every 10 minutes on the air.

    Agree or Disagree?

Put this next to being an actor and a Vegas act.

I give credit though, he tries to branch out. However I think he needs to know what got him where he is at today.

    Just stick with music.

CBS had no problem collecting the revenue that Howard and his million commercials an hour brought in. They didn't seem to have a problem with him talking about Sirius back then. Now that he's gone, they don't know what to do, and their decisions prove that. Doesn't matter, CBS is dying a slow and painful death, and that is hilarious.

Will I tune in to hear OnA? Of course not, thankfully they will not be on in Chicago. And if they are, I will delete that preset from my car radio. I wish them luck though, because I have nothing against them really, they pretty much don't exist to me other than discussions here with you. I have Howard on Sirius and that's all I listen to as far as radio. I have more than enough music to entertain me if Howard ever retires. The wannabes out there are boring.

I was thinking, at the end of the Hot for Teacher video, Dave became a game show host, perhaps that is what he should do, maybe he could do a competing show of DEAL OR NO DEAL.

Once again you're missing the point greeny bro, CBS had an agreement with Stern. Stern was advertising for a competing company, which was against his contract. CBS did have a problem according to the suit. All of terrestrial radio is dying a slow death. However, this could help them big time, with such a big name show, on the number one sat. radio network. This must be killing howie

Oh come on you would out of curiousity tune in. Hell I even caught some of howie's first shows on Sirius, and they were as boring as they were on KROCK. Enjoy your howie on your fish finder sirius brick, and how he is sucking that platform dry of money.
