Default The best album of each member

Here's the game, pick an album for the best performance of each member,Gary doesn't really count, here goes:

Dave: Women And Children First: His singing on songs like Romeo Delight and In A Simple Rhyme is just awesome, and the yells and screams on tracks like And The Cradle Will Rock... just rocks.

Eddie: Fair Warning: This is an easy pick for me, the brown sound at it's finest. Mean Street, Unchained and One Foot Out The Door make this an easy pick for me.

Mike: OU812: Oddly this was the hardest pick for me. While there isn't much for bass, his background vocals are killer throughout. Especially on When It's Love and Sucka In A 3 Piece.

Sammy: 5150: His debut with VH convinced most fans (minus Roth tards) that he could easily carry the torch. His singing sounds inspired throughout.

Alex: F.U.C.K.: Drums sound heavy on every track. Eddie said back then that one of the priorities was improving Al's drum sound, and I think they pulled it off.

Dave-Diver Down, I think this was "Dave's album"..the original tracks are outstanding and the covers are great. Dave sounds great on Hang em High and the Full Bug. Little guitars is awsome.

Ed-Fair Warning-C'mon, Ed plays his ass off on this, very aggresive playing, did alot of cool shit on this disk. The intro to meanstreets is worth the price of admission.

Mike-Hmmmmm....Mike gets buried alot on the early records, I like the OU812 pic from above cause Mike's background vocals are a standout but I really like the bass on Balance, alot more "upfront" than the early stuff...I also like the bass on FUCK....I'll have to reserve judgement on this one for a little while...

Alex-Either OU812 or FUCK..Al got sober after his father died and I think his playing on OU812 is outstanding but the sound on FUCK is so great..I'll go with FUCK.

Sam-Hmmmm...another hard one to choose from..I like 5150 cause of the vibe, I like OU812 cause of the diversity and I like FUCK..just cause I love the cd...I'll go with FUCK..poundcake, judgement day, runaround, pleasure dome, Dream is over, right now, TOTW..it don't get no better.

back to Mike...I'll go with FUCK with him also, the bass was great on stuff like Poundcake and Pleasure Dome and you can't beat the backing vocals on Judgement day and Dream is over...

Eddie: Easy. Van Halen I, with Fair Warning right on its heels.
Mike: F.U.C.K. You could actually hear him!
Alex: I have to go with Balance. Although there was really not much double-bass, his style and sound were great.
Dave: I have to go with Diver Down also. Songs like "Secrets" and "Little Guitars" showed a different side of his singing.
Sammy: It's gotta be 5150. That was his vocal showcase.
Gary: I have to go with Pornograffiti. haha

    Ed- VH1 No explanation needed

Al - Balance To me, it's the best sounding album and a big part is because of the huge drum sound.

Mike - All of them. He completes the VH sound. The background vocals cannot be duplicated. Accept no substitutions.

Dave - 1984 Drop Dead Legs......that about seals the deal for me

Sammy - 5150 IMO, Best Sammy album, best VH album.

I'm going to buck the system and say Balance is among Ed's finest guitar work. That record is sonic perfection.

Dave - Diver Down - The originals are the best he has ever done, before or after
    Ed - Fair Warning
    Al - Balance
Mike - I really don't know, he is so far into the background on the most the albums
Sam - 5150, sings his ass off

Best Dave era album collectively - Fair Warning
Best Sam era album collectively - Balance
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Preferred pronouns: he/him/his
