Default Who Covered the Song 5150?

I have a boot for which I think the vocals have been attributed to Axl Rose. It sounds a little like him but I dunno. The guitar tone sounds like Ed's version but I'm pretty sure it's not and I don't know who it is. Anyone have any ideas?

The guitar was excellent but the singing sucked.

I read (from Michael Anthony) that Extreme have also done covers of "5150".

The Van Hagar cover band OU812 probably has covered it too.

I've heard a boot of GNR covering 'Dance The Night Away'.
Bobby Cohn: Who's going to be at Waynestock?
Wayne Campbell: Um, uh...Aerosmith & Pearl Jam!
Garth Algar: Ha ha ha ha ho!
    Bobby: Who else?
    Garth: Uh, me...and...and Wayne...
    Wayne: ...and uh...VAN HALEN!!!
Garth: Wow. Van Halen. Who else?
    Bobby: Yeah, who else?
Wayne: Uh, an old man fashioning a kayak out of a log?

BOISE STATE BRONCOS! - They're awesome. Deal with it!

11/16/04 - VAN HALEN in Boise, Idaho. Changed my life forever

8/8/06 - Sammy Hagar and the Wabos w/Michael Anthony in Boise, Idaho. Sam and Mike still kick ass

These recordings (like the one of 5150)
from sample accurate...I'm pretty sure they're not real.

There hypothetical...like...what if Axl Rose sang 5150, what would it sound like. I could be way off base here, but I think there is no real band. It's a bunch of dudes fuckin' around with a computer, a mixing table, some instruments, and then putting it all on the net.

When NAPSTER first took off, these "Sample Accurate" covers were all over the place, most of them fraudulently named to be some famous band with "another singer", even the bands that weren't looking for singers at the time, as the Van Heineken sisters have been doing perpetually for the last decade.

They even had the balls to put up this clown's version of "Back in Black" as a "Bon Scott demo". Obviously the guy sounded nothing like Bon, and why would Bon Scott sing a song that was written in tribute to him, AFTER HE WAS DEAD??

I think I sent those fuckers a few obscenity laden e-mails at the time.
