    Default Expanded Instrumentals

Over the years, VH put out many instrumentals, which have largely been forgotten about. Several of these are very short. The question is this- What VH Instrumentals would you like to see expanded and further developed.

Personally, I would have liked Tora!Tora! expanded and transitioned into Intruder. And, even though it's a great lead in to Pretty Woman, a less sudden end on Intruder.

I don't know why, but, for me, "Intruder" is about 15 minutes too short.

Balucirithim- or however it's spelled, off of Balance. It's already a great full song, but if it was extended, especially live...wow!

    "Growth".

Also, the intro to "Women in Love...", the intro to "In a Simple Rhyme", & the intro to "Hear About it Later". I feel like the intro to "Mean Street" was already expanded in LWAN. Also, I could never hear enough of the outros to "Drop Dead Legs" and "One Foot Out the Door".

As far as live stuff goes, I'd love to have heard/seen Eddie really run with the tray table idea he had for his solo spot on the '84 tour. In addition, more stuff like the solo to "5150" on LWAN would be welcome any time.

Loved some of the little cool touches in the guitar work on "Year to the Day" and "Josephina". It's a different, cool side of Ed that I'd like to have seen developed and expanded upon.

Also, the outro to "Fire in the Hole" could have been an entirely new, kick butt song that sounded like it could have come right off of "Fair Warning".

Growth, In a Simple Rhyme & Sunday Afternoon in the Park...could all be killer if made longer...and hey, don't forget Neworld from the III album...little nod to the Gary era...
...and in the end, on dreams we will depend...

Expand "Tora! Tora!", "Sunday Afternoon in the Park", "Intruder" and "1984". I'd like to listen to the entire piece of "1984", even if it gets more than an hour.

I would say growth even though they kinda did it on the 5150 tour-I think it was that tour, it's on one of the untapes from along time ago. I've also always been very interested in what was going on during the fade out of Right now..if you listen real close right before it's cut off Al starts really kickin it sounds like it would have been neat..

"1984" - I don't like Eddie playin keyboards but this is one of very few exceptions - I wish there was no Jump on "1984" album and this piece could be about 5 minutes. (one hour ? - its too long for me)

I'm partial to Intruder, just because I thought they coulda done more w/it than just make it a Pretty Woman intro.

I've always liked how Doin' Time leads into Baluchitherium (Balance). I know they're two separate tracks, and Time is more of an Al solo more than anything, but can you picture THAT beat at the end w/some Ed shred and Mikey thump?

Put me down for 1984. What a fantastic piece of music. I'd love to hear the whole thing even if just once.
