    What's the best 2004 bootleg?

I have audio of opening night in Greensboro, 45 minutes of video of the Albany show, and some video clips of Denver. Is there is any pro-shot show or show that should've been used for the DVD we never got? Thanks

Other people know more about the best DVDs than I do, but the best audio boot from 2004 is Fort Wayne. It's a pity that the performance isn't up to scratch.

San Diego is a very good choice too, audio exists but I don't know about any video of that particular gig. It's still one of the best night though.

It depends on what you mean by "best" . That is, do you want the best quality bootleg or the best band performance as some of the shows weren't really up to VH's standards.

However to answer your one question, there is no PRO shot DVD out there. After the tour was over, it was confirmed (if you believe the interviews) that a DVD was not filmed. There are a couple of "screen" shot bootlegs that give the look of a PRO shot DVD.

It really all depends on what you like.

Yeah best quality I guess, from what I've seen they never were "on" much.

OK, I'll break this down. The audio shows I have are in this order:

    2004-06-11 Greensboro, NC - Band: A, Quality: A-
    2004-06-13 Hershey, PA - Band: A-, Quality: A
    2004-06-19 Worcester, MA - Band: A-, Quality: B+
    2004-06-20 Worcester, MA - Band: A, Quality: A
    2004-06-23 East Rutherford, NJ - Band: A, Quality: B+
    2004-06-25 Washington D.C. - Band: A-, Quality: B
    2004-06-26 Albany, NY - Band: A, Quality: B+
    2004-06-28 Hartford, CT - Band: A, Quality: A-
    2004-07-01 Indianapolis, IN - Band: A-, Quality: A-
    2004-07-03 Toronto, OT - Band: A, Quality: A
    2004-07-10 Detroit, MI - Band: A-, Quality: A
    2004-07-11 Auburn Hills, MI - Band: A, Quality: A
2004-07-19 Chicago, IL - Band: A, Quality: B+ (Remastering Now)
    2004-07-20 Chicago, IL - Band: A, Quality: A
    2004-07-29 St. Louis, MS - Band: A-, Quality: B-
2004-08-05 Phoenix, AZ - Band: A, Quality: A (Remastering Volume. Perfect if louder)
    2004-08-07 Las Vegas, NV - Band: A-, Quality: A-
    2004-08-16 Anaheim, CA - Band: A, Quality: A
    2004-08-20 Los Angeles, CA - Band: A-, Quality: B+
2004-11-04 Ames, IA - Band: A+, Quality: A+ (Best damn boot of 2004. I added extra bass to it, so it sounds like a soundboard. Even better considering how tense the guys were at this point in the tour. Phenomenal show!)
    2004-11-09 Montreal, Canada - Band: D, Quality: A
    2004-11-10 Hamilton, Canada - Band: D+, Quality: A

Your best bet is Ames. The majority of the bad quality ones will be remastered sooner or later. Tell me what you're interested in and I can probably hook ya You would have to wait a few days if you want Ames, since remastering isnt finished yet. Anyone else interested, we can probably work out a trade of some sort. I'm looking for ANYTHING VH, specifically Goldenwest Ballroom 1976, Just Before The Eruption 1976, Magic Mountain 1977, Sundown In San Diego 1984 (both nights), and Miami 1988.

And anyone, ANYONE have or know of the person who filmed Chicago 7/19/04? I have been DESPERATELY looking for that video, and am willing to negotiate with anything I have for it.

    Tell me what ya like!

The sound is soso for that one.

I have every show available from 2004 and I would say Ames, IA and Phoenix, AZ are the best recordings out there. Ames wins in terms of quality and I Phoenix in performance. Other great shows with a great performance/quality mix would be either of the Worcester shows, Noblesville, Detroit, Auburn Hills, either of the Chicago shows, Los Angeles...but the further you get the worse the performance gets. I think we can all agree that Montreal was the worst performance of the tour...terrible.
