Default Pleasuredome and In N' Out

After listening to them alot recently, have to say they are very underrated great tunes. The solos in both the songs give me goosebumps. In N' Out is sometimes considered not one of Van Halen's better songs but to me its got power and is AWESOME. Pleasuredome too. thought I would post about this since I really love these songs!

Yeah Pleasure Dome is pretty good. I could never get into the In and Out song tho.

I will agree with you on a lyrical aspect. But instrumentally the song is so badass. Lyrically, the dome is an awful tune.

In 'N' Out was always badass. What seals it for me, much like what LowLife said, its that "uh, uh, uhhh...HUH! IN 'N' OUT!!!!"

I've never actually heard the actual song Pleasure Dome with the lyrics. All I can go by is the version I heard on Right Here Right Now. In N' Out is another great tune in my book. Cool guitar riff, and pretty cool lyrical flavour. Flavour? I don't know.

In and Out.....typical shitty Sammy lyrics. Pleasure Dome...GREAT music, Eddies on fire baby! Lyrics....so, so. Again, Sam's the weak link in terms of writing. Sure, he's got pipes galore, but the words he pens are usually very weak.

Lyrics on both are pretty silly but the music is kick ass. As far as a live-feel VH jam in the studio, it doesn't get much better than Pleasure Dome. One of my all-time faves from the Sam era...

I've always LOVED In 'N Out. The lyrics don't bother me too much, and Sam really sings his ass off on that tune. From a guitar stand point, there is just so much going on there. When you really listen quietly you can hear all the overdubbing Ed did on this song. Lots of flavor going on there, and the outro solo is sick.

Pleasure Dome is just a musical master piece. Never really listened to the lyrics much, it's all about Ed, Al and Mike for me. The intro is absolutely gorgeous, and once the band kicks in it's absolute insanity. The bridge, the solo, the chicken pickin thing at the end. Fuckin Eddie is the man, no doubt.

I really dig In 'N Out nowadays, used to hate it. Still don't like Pleasure Dome, can't even make it through it the whole way.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Pleasure Dome... What a killer tune, but I think one has to be a musician to fully appreciate it (or to have blinders on, I dunno...)

I've never really listened to the lyrics closely enough to get a "big, dark, meaning", but the thing I love most about the tune is they seem to be pushing themselves musically in different directions. It's always nice to see a band that is as successful as VH trying to do something that is unique to their catalog by taking musical risks and kicking ass doing it...

I love PD, love the music, love the singing, love everything about the song. The lyrics to me are sureal, kinda trippy..it's probably my 2nd favorite song on FUCK..it's just incredible.

in n out is pretty good. I really like the end after everything stops for a sec and then starts back up, they're just jamming away..very shagadelic.
