Was/Is there any group that put(s) out longer songs than Led Zeppelin?

    3.41
    7.07
    10.22
    5.28
    6.32

"We're in the right place!" EVH @ The Joe in Detroit, July 10, 2004
"Hey! What's up!?" - Mikey, upon recognizing me in the Golden Ring in Chicago after getting his second bracelet, July 21, 2004
"What is uuuuuuuuuup!!!???" - Mike to me in Detroit, May 12th, 2005, after receiving third bracelet.

The Dead put out several songs on studio albums that were over 10 minutes long. And than of course, there are countless songs in excess of 15, even 25 minutes on over 40 of their live albums.

Also, Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother" is over 23 minutes long.

NOFX's "The Decline" is something like 17 minutes (punk-loving friends)

How about Jethro Tull's "Thick As a Brick"? How long is that one?
    "Suck a fat one, faggot."
-MikeL, showing off that sharp wit of his.

"You may recognize some of these chemicals. Let's start with cyanide...The one the Aum Shinrikyo cult attempted to use to commit mass murder in a Tokyo subway in May 1995...The same cyanide produced routinely--1.4 million tons per year--for use in the production of plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and so on. It seems that those who put small amounts of cyanide in subways are terrorists. But those who produce it in mass quantities and contaminate broad reaches of soil, water, and air, killing countless living beings, are not terrorists, but rather capitalists, and are counted among the finest and most powerful people on the planet."

-Derrick Jensen, "What We Leave Behind"

"You know what's weird to me is Christians who are against the death penalty. After all, if it weren't for the death penalty, we wouldn't celebrate Easter!"

    Keep 'em coming.

Rush is another group that comes to mind.

Billy, speaking of Pink Floyd, if I remember correctly "The Wall" never listed the track times. Then again I have it on vinyl and I purchased it 25+ years ago.

The CD does, plus if you put a CD in your PC, Windows Media Player will show you the lengths (which I had to do for Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here. But of course, that doesn't help when you only have it on vinyl. That's where www.allmusic.com comes in!

Jan, according to www.allmusic.com, "Thick As A Brick" takes up two tracks (I'm assuming the live version listed was added on a CD remaster or something) on the Thick As A Brick Album: Side 1 is 22:45, Side 2 is 21:05.

2112 from Rush is over 20 minutes long. It's hardly one cohesive song, though.

Dream Theater has several songs over 10 mins.

They also have a 42min song : Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence

    A 24 min song: Octavarium

A 23 min epic: Change of Seasons

    All are fan Classics.
