Default Exxon = $1,000,000,000 in sales per day in '05

    FORTUNE 500:

    Shakeup at the top
Surging oil prices pushed Exxon Mobil to No. 1, displacing Wal-Mart, while solid growth worldwide gave a lift to most of the 500.

By Grace Wong, CNNMoney.com staff writer
    April 3, 2006: 8:25 AM EDT

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - Exxon Mobil hauled in nearly $1 billion a day in sales last year, making it the biggest company in the United States and knocking Wal-Mart from the No. 1 spot for the first time in four years, according to the latest FORTUNE 500.

The oil company's revenue and profit were the biggest ever for a U.S. company, while Corporate America overall racked up a staggering $9.1 trillion in sales and $610 billion in profits -- both records.

I don't do business with Exxon or Wal-Mart, but unfortunately, the other greedy oiligarchy bastards (Chevron/Texaco, BP, and UNOCAL) aren't far behind.

And they're all in collusion anyway. A few years ago, every BP station changed to a UNOCAL 76 practically overnight. And recently all the Texaco stations changed to Shell just as fast. Which was really odd, because they should have changed to Chevron if anything.

Get the oil industry criminals out of the White House and then force these multinational corporate beasts to break up their companies.

Chevron/Texaco/Shell all merged. A lot of our Texacos are now Shells too.

Around here, 76 and Circle-K are partnered (though did Circle-K ever refine gas, or were they always just a convenience store) and BP-Amoco partnered up (BP ran the store while Amoco provided the gas)

I've watched the recent price of oil drop to about $2, regain $2 and drop $2 again and the price of gas goes from CDN$0.993 to CDN$1.079 within 2 weeks. The damn companies say their adjusting based on current reserves, production, demand, inflation and the world market. BS, they're costs probably have stayed steady over the years and they're eyes are full of $$$. I can't wait for the hydrogen fueled cars to come out in the next 2 to 3 years... I'm going to fix our car, sell it for a quick buck, and rent a car when I need it until the H-cars come out.

The Canadian gov't needs to take a serious look at collusion amongst the gas and oil companies. They don't hesitate to investigate other industries, but they don't go near the gas/oil bastards.

Bart: Who the hell is this?
Jack Bauer: I’m Jack Bauer, who the hell is this?
Bart: Me, er… I’m Ahmed Adudi
Jack: Chloe, get me all you can on Ahmed Adudi… Does anyone there know Ahmed Adudi?
Chloe O’Brien: Ahmed Adudi; wealthy Saudi financier… Disappeared into Afghanistan in the late 90s…
    Jack: … Really?
Chloe (ironically): No Jack it’s a joke name, you’re being set up.
    Jack: DAMMIT!

Actually, it doesn't really matter whose name is on a gas station, they all get their supplies from each other. My husband hauled fuel and when he would fill the tanker, it could come from anyone's supply depending on the price that day. They buy from each other. The only exception he saw was Sun (Sunoco) which only supplies to Sunoco stations. I don't know if it's the same (he hasn't hauled fuel for a few years) but I can't imagine it's changed.
