    Default NFL Hall Of Fame

So I went there the other day.
    WOW.

    Boobs, no.
    butts, no.
    fantasies, no.

    Nothing is better.

But, as a NY Jets fan I was PISSED.

Pissed that in Canton this is the picture that illustrates the sack record.

Even the HOF will not reflect that Brett GAVE the sack record away.

    Any thoughts?

I'm with you on that one. I thought that for a guy that is lauded for his passion for the game (Favre), this was a lowlight.

Yeah, that was just plain stupid. Favre really punked out on that one, if someone is going to break a record, let him earn it...don't take a dive. And yes, Strahan was a great DE, which IMO means he should have wanted to earn it, not have it handed to him.

Well no shit. Don't focus on the wrong part of the story man.

Teams didn't leave a slot receiver open so Manning could break Marino's record. Green Bay didn't roll over their defense and let Alexander break the season TD record, tha's my point. Earn it. He didn't.

Favre's tank job was lame. As a Giants fan, it's a hollow 'record.'

I think one of the important things to remember here is that Strahan is a great DE. Has he ever said anything about Favre taking the dive so he could get the record? I would have been a mad motherfucker if that had happened to me.

That is a lame photo for the record. They should have used the real thing.

By the way, if Deacon Jones had a 16-game schedule he probably would hold the record.

What is stupid is that the NFL didn't recognize it as an official statistic until 1982, when every team tallied it before then. Even Topps cards had individual sack stats before '82.

I remember the '79 Chargers had one of the highest totals recorded, with Fred Dean, Louie Kelcher, and Gary "Big Hands" Johnson. And then all those dudes left and picked up rings with the Niners.

How does one choose between being a Jets and Giants Fan? Never understood that, Do you guys root for both of them since they play at the same place?
