Awesome, I've been wanting to get an old MXR flanger too. If it's anything as good as the EVH Phase 90, well worth the price.

    cool...
Actually I think most of us are Dave, Sam, and Mike fans. There's just a small group of people who have strange allegiances and like to get into petty pissing contests that I can't believe everyone on this site isn't bored of. - Brett

Ahh that's nice. All my neighbors are really going to enjoy that!

I know I'm out of the loop, but I didn't even know edward and co had this up their sleeve.

The MXR EVH117 Van Halen Flanger Pedal - Dunlop did it again!
Dunlop has once again partnered with Edward Van Halen to present a new spin on a classic tone. Everyone knows that it was the MXR Flanger that powered Unchained and And the Cradle Will Rock. Now you can grab a piece of that world-class tone with the new MXR EVH 117 Flanger. This amazing stompbox features the same bucket-brigade technology that provided the sweeping, whooshing magic of the original. But Dunlop didnít stop there. They've also added the EVH Switch, which instantly calls up Eddieís Unchained sound with the exact same Manual, Speed, Width, and Regeneration settings that he used to get one of the greatest guitar tones of all time. If thatís not cool enough, they even painted the EVH Flanger with the rocking striped graphics that started a revolution.

MXR EVH117 Van Halen Flanger Pedal Features
    • EVH Switch activates preset Manual, Speed, Width, and Regeneration settings for instant Unchained tone

    • Original bucket brigade design for classic analog flanging

    • Indestructible die-cast housing in EVH-approved striped graphics

It looks pretty cool and I'm not too familliar with MXR products. I do not own the EVH Phaser althought I would like it however it would be hard to bring myself to pay nearly 300 dollars on one pedel when I spent 500 on a whole effects pedal from Digitech in which I have a pretty good VH early brown sound as well as Aint Talking Bout Love and so on. I think the Flanger would look awesome in anybody's pedal board but for 300$ (im speaking in Canadian money) I don't know.

Nah, it's okay for Eddie to promote his guitars, amps and other equipment onstage and in mags, but it's not okay for Mike and Sam to have anything else going on outside the band.

Never did understand his reasoning there.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em. -

Cool. I'm glad that the stripes are EVH approved!

Now if I only played the guitar.......

Well I will say that whether its Cabo Wabo, hot sauce or an MXR Flanger, money is going to go to Sammy, Mike or Eddie.

However the musical equipment can also help with musical creativity and inspiration to thousands of guitarists. Tequilla could help too but IMO there is more honor pimping gear then alcohol.
