Was watching that show last night... What the hell happened to Roy? I know he passed away and they kept saying he was ill, but what happened, anyone know how he died?

I don't know how he died. I had no idea until I saw the show last night. That was sad. Roy was the coolest guy on the show... RIP, Roy.

    Back to the show...

Boyd is a jackass. No wonder Chip Foose left and then got Charlie to come to work for him. Dwayne is only there because he licks Boyd's sack on a regular basis...

yeah I was shocked to hear in the middle of the show that Roy had passed. I'm wondering if he had cancer, didnt they say something about that a couple years ago that he had beaten it once? I might be wrong on that.

And yes Boyd is a bad business manager, he bids on projects without thinking them through and expects the "team" to always come through and can't understand why everyone is quiting or having an attitude and needs fired! Although if Dewayne or Duane was my boss.... I'd get fired too.

I think it was really a cool gesture for Roy to give his toolbox to Lee.

    Hello everyone,

This is a post I really don't want to write and it is being done with great sadness. Roy's wife, Laura, had been battling an illness for quite sometime, and last week she succumbed to that illness and passed away. She and Roy were soul mates and needless to say that devastated Roy. Last night Roy joined her in Heaven. He passed away ending his bought with lung cancer.

We wanted to let all of you who wrote in know that Roy did get your messages. He, as well as his family and all of us at Boyd Coddington's Garage appreciated all your thoughts and prayers. Roy was very special to us and he will be sorely missed.

May God bless Roy and Laura.

    Thank you Roy.

As far a Foose goes. Mike, Charley, and I think Andrew (Beetle Bailey) work for Chip now. Charley went because of the opportunity to work on a Riddler car. He kinda took Beetle with him. Mike started doing work for Chip designing motorcycle wheels "on the side" while still at Boyd's. Boyd found out and he was outta there.

Sad about Roy and his wife. RIP Roy.

My Dad still owns his first car, its a 1932 Ford Cabriolet convertible. The car has been together then apart, then together then apart again. He has been working on it pretty hard for the past few years. It was just painted bright bright red and has a lot of chrome. The interior is being re-done as we speak.
The engine has a nice throaty sound to it and shines like a new quarter.
It should be ready to hit the road this summer.
    ((Just My Two Cents))
And thats about what its worth.

How sad. This is all news to me right here right now. I used to watch that show quite a bit but Boyd and his little new wife were too much. I thought he bit off way more than his crew could chew with the tight deadlines, then seeing him and his wife take all the credit was bs. So I quit watching.

That's kewl for Roy to have given Lee his toolbox. Can't believe Lee's still hanging in there tho.

    That is sad news.....

Who the hell is the german dude who can't work with anyone else....big asshole....but does nice work.
Actually I think most of us are Dave, Sam, and Mike fans. There's just a small group of people who have strange allegiances and like to get into petty pissing contests that I can't believe everyone on this site isn't bored of. - Brett

Too bad about Roy, he was really one of the most entertaining ones. Seemed like a good guy.

    Other stuff about the show...
I can't figure out how much of it is real. There was a big deal where Al quit - then they still show him but don't talk to him. Not sure what happened there.

What happened to Mike? He got fired for using the BC shop to build stuff for somebody else?

Seems like it went downhill since Charley left.

Yeah downhill a bit there. I miss Charlie. I know he went to another show but I can't remember the name of it. He and a couple of others went to another place/show.

Roy was kewl to watch b/c interact with the younger guys.
