Default What albums always sound "new" to you?

A buddy of mine was talking the other day about how some albums sound so dated, he used Crue's Dr. Feelgood as an example. Anyways, while we all may argue every VH album is timeless, what ones really stand out to you and why? Here's mine:

Van Halen: A landmark album that changed rock n' roll forever, nuff' said

Women And Children First: Has a very unique vibe. The whole album just sounds so cool, especially the vocals, lead and background.

F.U.C.K. Every tune on here seems so fine-tuned to sound great all-around. Al's drumming is just awesome. Songs like Runaround, Poundcake and The Dream Is Over just plain rock.

Van Halen 3: I don't know how to explain this one, but it seems like every time I listen to it it sounds almost new to me. I guess it's just so unique compared to all other VH stuff it's just interesting to listen to.

I'll put it this way, the only one's that sound dated to me are VH2 and WACF.

All of the others never lose their freshness to me, especially Diver Down, 1984, and 5150. I never tire of these 3.

VH with Dave ('78-'84) - The best years....the "real" VH.
VH with Sam ('86-'96) - Incredible era....."We have renamed this town 'New Halen!'.
VH with Gary ('98) - Fucking disaster. WTF was that??
VH with Wolf/Dave ('12-'15) - Amazing comeback. Smokin' album and tours.

I think that they would have worked with Fairbairn again if he hadn't died and maybe Sammy would never have left/fired or VH 3 would have been much better.

Actually according to sam's book Ed and Sam were pretty pissed at Bruce while they were recording the Twister stuff. Bruce tried to take some writing credits or something...

The Classic 06 pack records and "Van Halen 3".
