It's all good. I wasnt mad, which is why I used the spit emoji. But I thought you may have been mad at me. I know you and a few others on here really love Randy. Dont get me wrong, he was a great player, just not one of my favorites.

I have a lot of respect for ABB, but I like LS much more, their songs just rock more.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Just watched an old '80 clip of Molly Hatchet on American Band Stand.

    Such different times....
Dick Clark mentioned, you guys are almost at 2 million in sales for the new record...

Can you imagine a band like MH appearing today, with their Gibson Explorers & V's,
beer guts & jeans, selling that many copies of their new record?

They didn't have Danny Jo Brown on that Band Stand appearance, but the singer
    was really good.

I looked online, and was sad to see that entire Band stand lineup is now deceased!

Dave Hlubek passed last year, i think.

Ed King's 1959 Les Paul called "Redeye" is now in the possession of Jason Isbell. The guitar was reportedly tagged at $650,000, which I kind of doubt Isbell had as disposable income, even though he's very popular right now. He says "thanks to the King family" he's the "custodian" of it, so I bet it's on loan.

Here's his Instagram post where he announces he has it.

Here's a YouTube of him playing it. He bought it a few days after this, reports say.

Ex-Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle spoke about working on a new movie he took part in about tragic and devastating plane crash of Lynyrd Skynyrd on October 20, 1977 . As well as the judge ruling to allow Cleopatra records to release the film and the post litigation drama by the surviving families and members of Lynyrd Skynyrd estate. He also spoke about his new album that he released with his son.

    Default Lynyrd Skynyrd

I'm surprised there isn't already a Skynyrd thread. (If there is and I've missed it, my bad!) Anyway, I love LS - they're my 'second band' if you like - and I've just finished reading the late Ron Eckerman's autobiography, Turn It Up. He was their tour manager in '76/'77, became really close to Ronnie Van Zant and, something he couldn't come to terms with, was the one that leased the plane that killed the band in October 1977. Anyway, I wasn't aware just how close the band was to really making it BIG, as in outright stadium headliners. It's such a tragedy and we can only wonder what the band might've achieved had the crash not happened.

What do Linkers think about the band? Is there any love here for Skynyrd, the world's second-best rock band?

Thanks, '47. I found this thread after I'd started the new one and then couldn't delete it. (I feel like a bit of a tit now!)
