I saw that at all the Metallica shows I went to in '04. It was definitely one of, if not the highlight of Godsmack's set.

I have the dvd, pick it up if you can. Seen them three times, all killer shows. Highly reccommend them. Them and Metallica 2 years ago was a great night.

Besides VH, Godsmack is my other favorite band. I've seen them 3 times, once on the Awake Tour, and twice on the Faceless Tour. They really put on an awesome show, and the drum duel is the best part for me. Can't wait till the new album hits, and really looking forward to seeing them again on tour.

I gotta agree they are a good band. I have 2 of their live dvd's and they are both worth getting. They put on a hell of an entertaining show.

    Godsmack!!!

Finally, some new music from my other favorite band. It rocks, can't wait till they hit the road on tour. Anybody else grab it? If so, do you like it, hate it, have a favorite song, or what?

Let's hear it, "Speak" the truth!!!!

I kinda like the last album, is it the last one btw? Faceless? Awake too but I think they're a little too stiff with their song formula with little variations. Their songs tend to sound the same, that's certainly why they did that acoustic album, add some variety, didn't they? Just my opinion though, I don't want to spoil your enthusiasm!

I've got the first two cd's, but never had the chance to see them live. My best friend caught them on the Metallica tour and said they were great live. Not really a fan of them much anymore because the songs do have the tendency to sound the same. Might check out the new cd though if it's any good.

I picked it up yesterday and wasn't that impressed. Don't get me wrong I like them alot have all their cd's and have seen them half a dozen times in concert. My 2 sons and I listened to it yesterday while we drove around aimlessly to waste gas and they even weren't that blown away. Ok they are 5 and 8 but they do know good music when they hear it. The one song that stands out as disappointing is Voodoo Too. It sounds identicle to VooDoo and maybe that's what they were shooting for, also there was another song that sounded alot like Bad Religion. However I do look forward to seeing them live and maybe after a few listens the cd will grow on me.

They were on the Tonight Show last night and did Speak. It was cool. The guitar was more in the forefront, which is usually what happens with us guitarists live

Saw Godsmack last night at Mohegan Sun Arena. It was an awesome show. The sound was a little muddy but the performance the guys put on was kick ass. They did about 4 songs from the new album and another 2-3 from each of the other 3 albums. They also did their usual dueling drum solo where Sully gets behind his own kit and they play together to a medley of cover tunes which included War Pigs, How Many More Times, Tom Sawyer and Walk this way. There was also an ACDC sond If I remember correctly it was back in black. One side note I got snagged by security shooting video during the first song but luckily I realized they were on to me before they got to me and I pulled the memory card out of the camera before they confiscated it and questioned me.

I agree. Godsmack put on as good of a show, if not better, then Metallica in 04. That drum solo was cool as shit.

OMG had no idea how talented Sully is! He even broke out a drum solo! They did some old skool Zep for that, a little Moby Dick. He was having so much fun out there! Played the bongos... the harmonica.. and the guitar the whole show. Voodoo was awesome live! This was one of the best shows I have seen yet. We were in the pits for this one. Total stress relief there! Breaking Benjamin was really good too. I would definately see these guys again.

Sully started as a drummer in a Boston-area band before stepping up front if I am not mistaken.

not a big fan though, i have seen them a couple of times but they never really had "it" for me....i was a little bored.
