Default Did Eddie Really Think That Wildside Were Awsome?

From what I have read, Eddie really dug the band Wildside - a hair band more or less. They were produced by Andy Johns, which was arranged by Eddie and recorded some of the album at 5150. The band goes on to thank Eddie for all the support.

Don't get me wrong, the album is not horrible - but certainly nothing special about them to warrant Eddie tipping his hat to them.

Does anyone know the story behind Eddie's love for this band.

    Thanks

Maybe he just knows the guys in the band.

I don't see why he shouldn't like them. He doesn't have to only like other musical geniuses.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em. -

I'm not sure why it matters why he likes them.

    Brett,

It doesn't matter ultimately, but I am just curious as to what was so special about Wildside to him. It's not like Eddie frequently goes out of his way to help other bands, so for those that know (and you don't it seems) - I would like to hear any info about what made Eddie sit up and take notice of Wildside.
