Default Edward Parts Ways With Manager of 23 Years

    From EddieVanHalen.com

As most of you know, I have been in contact with Ed's manager (Barbara Page) since early 2000, and yesterday I received word from her that she no longer is managing Eddie anymore. I don't believe this is alarming news and to be quite honest, I kinda figured this was going to happen when Valerie filed for divorce last December. Ed's manager was also Valerie's manager, which is where Ed met Barbara. It is *my opinion* that since she was first Valerie's manager, and since Valerie actually has been doing something with her career, if she had to choose, Valerie would be the clear choice. It would have been a clear conflict of interest to remain managing both parties once it was announced that they were officially getting divorced. The divorce paperwork that was filed actually came out of the office of his manager. At any rate, at this point in time, Eddie does *not* have a manager as far as I know.

In the meantime and since there is no longer a point of contact from within Ed's camp, I must now deal exclusively with Ed's attorneys for any correspondence related issues that I need to raise with them. I always like to keep them in the loop on any projects that I'm working on, to maintain our legal requirements as set forth in our license agreement with Ed's company... which is now managerless.

So, where this is all headed, I have no idea. But I did ask her if this was public knowledge and whether I could publically talk about it to others, and she said it would be ok to do so since it was public knowledge. I thanked her for her 23+ years as being his personal manager and wished her well, and she did likewise. Truely a great person to deal with and it is a shame that she has now left the camp. I hope her replacement will be equally enjoyable to work with.

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

This could be potentially good news. If Ed goes out and finds a new manager, then it is obvious that he wants to continue his career. A new manager might add some extra motivation to Ed to get some work done.

And a new manager might be a better bridge to Dave, Sam, or Mikes' managers to get something going.

Tell me about it. I thought the whole "Smoking Loon" thing was a joke until I saw a display of it at the Safeway down the street. I was surprised to find it actually existed.

Ford I thought the same thing. One evening I was at my local QFC (quality food centers) in The Claw and came across a display of it as well. It turns out it is a Seattle based winnery. They sell a entire line of the stuff.
