Vito and Nuno were two of the greatest guitarist to come out of the 80s and there far from clones.

Nuno definitely had a VH influence but didn't wear it on his sleeve like Vito did. I also think Nuno was the better player and songwriter between the two.

Not everybody agrees, that's life. Vito's hand would fall off trying to play "Play With Me", "Flight of the Wounded Bumble Bee", The solo before "Mutha(Don't want to go to school)", "Cupids Dead", "Warheads", "It's a Monster", "Midnight Express".. etc... the list goes on.

If people stopped thinking Extreme was only More Than Words because they never listened to the albums just the radio they would see Extreme was a great band.

Well you also have Steve Vai and Joe Satriani who came out of the 80's, both of which blow Vito out of the water. Steve Vai's career didn't start in 1990 with Passion and Warfare, like of his newer fans like to make people think, it started in 1980 with Frank Zappa. Alot of people who were playing guitar in the 80's, like me, were influenced by Vai and Satch in the 80's.

yeah I like Nuno a lot but I dont know...isnt the guitar in flight of the wounded bumble bee tweaked a bunch??? I thought I read somewhere that he used some thing a ma jig to get that song, or maybe the recording is sped up or something. and I dont think vitos hand would fall off playing ANYTHING. He rips it. Nuno is awesome too though. THey had a lot of good tunes, not that more than words shit.

He uses delay on Flight of The Wounded Bumble Bee.

Don't get me wrong I thought Vito was a really good player and wrote good songs, not the When The Children Cry shit, but the other stuff.

That's a bit much for me to agree with, personally.

Vito has as much or more dexterity than Nuno, period. Neither one wanted to sound like an "alien orchestra", which is what Vai sounds like.

I don't agree that Vito has more dexterity than Nuno, that is funny though, thanks for the laugh.

As far as Vai sounding like an alien orchestra, listen to more than Passion and Warfare once in a while.

But really who cares about all this, it's 2006, Vito hasn't done shit in 15 years and most of the tunes he wrote didn't hold up for most people. That's why nobody wants to put up the $$ for them to do a reunion because they would make nothing back.

The same can be said for Nuno, although at least he released some solo material over the past several years even though they didn't do too well as far as sales.

By the way I agree Vito should give Eddie VH props since he did rip off most off Eddie's style. That's why they used to call him Vito Van Halen in his hometown of Staten Island.
