I'd say the Billy Joel/Elton John show in Hartford back in '02, but it might change after I see Queen + Paul Rodgers on Friday night.

My first ever concert: 1984 Iowa Jam: Ozzy headlining, Ted Nugent, Motley Crue and Accept.

I was never been the same after that......

As far as my personal experience goes, gotta' be the Grand Rapids show on the 2004 tour. Being in the Golden Rings was an absolute dream! The guys were still happy then!

I saw The Alarm at St. Andrew's Hall in downtown Detroit around 1987 or 1988. (Anybody like The Alarm???) It's a very small venue and it was just awesome. I'm going to see The Cult in a similarly small venue on the 19th of this month, and from all incoming reports in the Cult thread, it is going to kick some serious ass!

"Hey, thanks for the bracelet! Was that one for me?" - Michael Anthony to me in the Golden Ring in Grand Rapids, MI July 9, 2004
July 9, 2004 - Mike pressed a guitar pick into my hand!
"We're in the right place!" EVH @ The Joe in Detroit, July 10, 2004
"Hey! What's up!?" - Mikey, upon recognizing me in the Golden Ring in Chicago after getting his second bracelet, July 21, 2004
"What is uuuuuuuuuup!!!???" - Mike to me in Detroit, May 12th, 2005, after receiving third bracelet.
"You found me again!" - Mike to me in Detroit, Nov. 2, 2007

I'll second the vote for The Alarm! Never got to see them live but I've ALWAYS thought they were WAY underrated!

For my money, the absolute best show I've ever been a part of would have to be VH last time around in Dallas. Second row right in front of Eddie is hard to beat. I had THE TIME OF MY LIFE at that show...

-=VH= in Indy (7/1/04)...Not necessarily the best show I've been too, but the most excited I've ever been at a show!

-The Darkness in Milwaukee during March of '04. I've never seen a crowd go so crazy for so long, the band was tight, the sound was good, and the atmosphere was INSANE.

-Children of Bodom/Trivium in Philly, December '05. People were leaving w/bloody noses and no shoes left. CoB played THE TIGHTEST SET I have ever heard. Alexi blew my mind in every song, and I left that show feeling as though I owed the bands a few hundred bucks more than what I paid for my ticket. Just an incredible show all the way around. 1200 person sold out show, met the band before hand, and ate a giant cheese steak in the city between the meeting and the show. An unbelievable experience all around.
