"Good Enough" should've been the first single.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.
Michael did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

Q: who was the biggest douche that you have worked with?

A: Eddie Van Halen hands down he threatened all the stage hands that if we wernt all pushed to the side when he got off stage that he would "bash our faces in"

Now the new David-Lee-Roth-Van Halen album, “Tokyo Dome In Concert,” is available for purchase, and it’s super, super, super, super, super, super, crazy bad. - Doug Elfman

I was a sophomore in high school and had just turned 16 about a month earlier. When 5150 came out, I immediately bought the album. And then I bought a cassette for the car. I played it so many times throughout that summer that I wore out many copies of the cassette. And when CD's finally came out, I bought a version of it again.

Hear that RIAA??? I bought the same album 3 times!!!! LOL

Yeah thanks a pantload for THAT!!

In 1986 I believe I became a mommy for the first time and my baby's gonna be 20 this year!! I agree, Good Enough should've been the first single. I never really cared for WCTBL that much. But I think I was still adjusting to the new singer thing anyways.

    Wow. Thanks.

NO SHIT. I've lost count of how many copies of 5150 I've gone through over the years...AT LEAST a dozen...

I was in 5th grade at the time. I didn't really like the song. I was still not over Dave leaving. Didn't get into Sammy until later the next year, once I was convinced Dave was not coming back.

And what a sad day it was. I actually thought they'd come out with something kick ass and I have to say that was pretty disappointed when I first heard it. Just my opinion guys. Don't everybody get all bent out of shape.
I can't remember which comedian said it, about the current state of Van Halen, but he said right now, Van Halen is like a really hot playboy playmate with a prosthetic leg.

    BRING BACK THE CLASSIC LINEUP!

I can't even have an opinion on ANYTHING anymore unless it's exactly what everyone else thinks...oh and if I do it means I HATE this album, and hope it fails. Man some of you can fuck off...seriously. - BRETT

First heard it on KLOS out here in LA on the way to school. Another station out here (KIIS fm, who wouldn't be caught dead playing rock music today) played it on the hour for the rest of the day.

I remember listening to our resident headbanger at school, Paco Hackwith, gushing about it all day. I remarked that the solo wasn't Eddie's best (a thought I still hold to this day although I love the tune) and he freaked the fuck out!

    Ahhhh.....I'm old.
