Default Hot For Teacher on Yes Dear

I was watching a rerun of the TV show Yes Dear. They were at their 15th high school reunion. They had to vote for who was the coolest. One of the characters, Jimmy was doing air guitar to Hot For Teacher.

There was a reference to Van Halen's lyrics/music being sexually suggestive on "Still Standing" last week. Something like - the music sounds like VH, it reeks of sex. The parents were looking for their daughter at some sleazebag's house, and they heard some hard rock being played

There was another VH reference on "Yes, Dear" a few weeks ago. Jimmy wanted to reunite with old co-workers and used the expression "lets get the band together" to which Greg replied "What are we, Van Halen?"

I guessing either the writers or the actors are fans.

Getting back to the HFT reference, I'm not sure how being a 30 something year old air guitarist makes him "the coolest guy in class" but it was kinda funny anyway!!

Hey that's a kewl show. I watch it all the time.

And I remember that partic reunion show. I think it was mentioned at one time here in a thread for Kevin James & VH b/c the Yes Dear episode got mentioned by yours truly. Yep, I'm the idiot who thought Kevin James was on Yes Dear but yeah I know - he's on King of Queens which I also watch. Anyways, just a mention.

Another Yes Dear VH reference is when Jimmy is at a kid's concert and he tells his wife to take off her shirt so they can get their kid up on stage. She responds "Jimmy we're not at a Van Halen concert" ....something like that :-D

    I like "Yes,Dear" !

I have caught those VH references as well. Bummed that CBS canceled the show.

    I will miss "The Rick".

Please add all Kevin James/VH references to this thread, too. Everytime this show is re-run, we get a new thread on it.

But, we're starved for anything VH. Gotta' love it when they get a mention on national TV.
