    Nothing new.

A few years ago a couple of Defense Language Institute (DLI) were hassled because they had anti-military bumperstickers on their cars. The stickers were against U.S. Central American policy.

The court ruled in favor of the government, saying that just as private companies can restrict behaviors (remember that story about Ford not allowing non-Ford vehicles on company parking areas? Same thing), the Feds can restrict "Propaganda" on Federal property.

Bottom line, if you let this guy put his political spiel on his car then you have to let the guy who's KKK put his signs on his car an so on. That then creates a hostile work environment, that's why you have rules like this. The guy can protest on his own time, nobody's saying he can't.
