Default Randy Rhoads prefered Lynch over Eddie!

According to the last Guitar World I got on the mail, featuring half the magazine to Randy Rhoads, there is a short piece that talks about Randy's opinion about Van Halen. It bassicaly says they met very few times and that he though Eddie was just "smoke and mirrors". It also says Randy was more intimidated by George Lynch than Eddie.

Mmmmmm???? I like George Lynch a lot...but come on!

Nothing but a soap opera man! All 3 have respect for each other etc....
I have read so much shit about Randy and Eddie that it is almost retarded. Unless it is actual quotes from those guys, it doesn't mean shit.
I can dig out some interviews from Randy that said he went to see VH in the very early days and Eddie would turn around so no one could see how he is playing....big deal. We all know how they both ended up.
    Just go for it!

Funny, since Lynch copied a lot of his style from Eddie. He actually was about to get a record deal and some execs were in the crowd to see him at a concert....and the opener was Van Halen.

Lynch himself said that after hearing Eddie he knew he needed to learn from that guy.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em. -

Jack Bauer is a Van Halen fan. It's no coincidence that Rhoads is dead.

It really doesn't matter much since both don't play anymore.

I remember Metallica fans were pelting him with tomatoes on the Monsters of Rock Show at Rich Stadium in Buffalo, New York. The fans were pissed that Metallica came on before Dokken in the Monsters of Rock Line up.

I see no such quote in the whole magazine. Please identify the page and paragraph number, because I don't see it.

It's in there, I read the same thing. The lead singer of QR is retelling stories of his past in a little side story thingy.
Actually I think most of us are Dave, Sam, and Mike fans. There's just a small group of people who have strange allegiances and like to get into petty pissing contests that I can't believe everyone on this site isn't bored of. - Brett

actually I dont see much in compariosn between lynch and eddie.

ed finger taps, lynch actually rips it by picking and sounding the same way. its alot harder to pick it than tap it.

but I will disagree with the statement but I know what randy was trying to say. lynch rocks and still does. at this point in time id rather see lynch today play over eddie. eddie is a mess from the live stuff I ahve seen.
