    Default Michael Jackson vs. Prince

Which one do you think is better?

I'll go with Prince.... Although MJ has great records in the 80's, he more image than he was music. He was pretty much just a great entertainer... Prince on the other hand is a good entertainer and a great musician.

Prince, hands down. The guy happens to be an exellent guitarist and is often overlooked for his ability to play.

Yes, his guitar palying alone smokes MJ. I'm not a huge fan of either, but I listen to Prince far more than MJ

But there is that one tune on the THRILLER album that has this talented kid on guitar......

Someone told me they went to a Prince concert and he not only smoked on the Keyboards, he went around the back side of the keyboard and played backwards ... I seen Keith Emerson do that once.

What is this, 1984? MJ was a talented performer and dancer, but
his material largely errs on the side of weak (does he even write his
stuff?). He has not done anything musically noteworthy in ages.

Prince, on the other hand, while nowhere near as popular as in his Purple
reign, is still relevant and vital, IMO. He is a consumate performer/musician/
entertainer/craftsman and still has the potential for greatness. Anyone catch
him a coupla weeks ago on SNL? Awesome. Plus, he gets bonus points for
bagging Vanity, Appolonia, Maytai, et al.

    Prince by TKO.

    Nail on the fucking head...

Prince has more talent and soul in his little finger than MJ EVER had. I'm not knocking MJ's talent, per se, but Prince being able to more than PROFICIENTLY play any instrument he lays his hands on at any given moment, wins him the gold in this contest...

Not a big fan of either one, but I think Prince is definitely a much better musician/songwriter.

IMO MJ was forced to be an entertainer. His voice is horrible.
Prince is a musician and a good songwriter for the most part. I have to go with "I would rather listen to Prince".

What is his name now anyway?
    Just go for it!
