    Vacation Destination Recommendations needed!!!

There’s going to be about 10 of us going on vacation the first week of May and we’ve been throwing around a few ideas and where to go. I’ve suggested Miami (South Beach) Costa Rica or even Vegas, and since I’ve been just about everywhere in Florida except Miami and it’s a lively vacation party spot. A few have suggested Cuba or the Dominican Republic. I miss California and have been there a few times but you need at least 3 weeks in Cali to really see it all! I wouldn’t even mind checking out Cabo San Lucas again but with all the hype and celebrities flocking there now, rates have skyrocketed since the last time I went and booking a beachfront Hotel is ideal for Cabo and in the center of all the action. I’ve learned last time that staying a few minutes outside the party zone is a pain and either you cab it in or rent a car. The Hotel itself had a great view though since it overlooked the beach but just away from the prime area for partying. Anyhow, any suggestions would be welcomed!

Maybe we’ll give Dave a call and see what he’s up to.” - Edward Van Halen ~ 2009

i've also been trying to answer that question and after quite a bit of research, rehkjavik iceland seems to be the up-and-coming vacation spot for night-lifers. it is a smaller town (approx. 150K) but the capital of iceland so it's easy to access. they have the highest nightclub to people ratio in the world...not sure if that means anything, i suppose the nightclubs could still suck no matter how many of them there are. i also hear it's a very 'promiscuous' city, if that matters to you. may is also a great time to go, temps are still mild but manageable.

it's on my list within the next five years.

Fuck it, do a cruise. I would think a cruise with a small group like that would be an absolute blast.

That's exactly what we did to get us to the Virgin Islands One thing about the cruise that I didn't like is they gouge you bad on drinks/soda and your not allowed to bring any onboard.

    Great suggestions so far, thanks!

I particularly like the Bagdad destination!!!

No, the Islands and especially the Cruise sounds great but do you really get a lot of beach time?

I think a cruise sounds like a good idea, as well. Of course, everyone knows what my vote would be (as far as destinations go). You could consider renting a villa in Cabo (they have some that sleep up to 16 people). Here's a website that has info. on some: www.cabovillas.com
    Meet me in Cabo!

Amsterdam. Lotta lip smack about democracy on this side of the lake, but
you haven't tasted true liberty until you fire up a hash pipe in the same place
you just took your meal. And I found the dutch to be very beautiful and
articulate. And the whole 'ass under glass' thing goes without saying.
It's a good launch pad to see many other European cities, as you can get a
Eurail pass for about $600 US, which means virtually unlimited travel
throughout Europe at virtually any time of your choosing. I'm already
planning a return trip this summer.

oh i want to go to Amstertdam so bad..

i would reccomend Cape hatteras, NC..

not a night life place, but inexpensive for a house that sleeps 20 wiuth hot tubs, a bar, etc is @$3k for 7 days. now if 10 people cant have fun with that and a beach with no rules and no lifeguards and great ocean and fishing and..there's a world famous canadian hole there..its for windsailing and surfing..its called "canadien hole"..

Panama, Costa Rica and Belieze would be at the top of my list.

The farther south you go, the cooler people you will meet, sure you might get felt-up by Customs whenyou come back but you'll have more fun. Colombia - Bogata - is a friggin party spot with hot women.

Central and Sout America are cheaper too, especially if you decide to stay a little longer.

Sandals- Jamaica man, all inclusive. One price and all you need is your room key and a few pesos for whatever else you may need or want. All you can drink and eat. White beaches, warm sand and water and one hell of a party. We went to Negril the first time. Dove off the cliffs at Rick's cafe. Second time in Montego Bay. What's nice is you can stay at one and visit another Sandals resort and your still all inclusive. Had a blast.

    Hit Brazil!
Try Buzios in the state of Rio de Janiero. About 3 hours north of the city but fantastic. Easy transo as well.
Also, Ubatuba in the state of Sao Paulo is cool. In between Rio and Sao Paulo, so you can hit the big cities on either end of the trip.
Brazil is my second home, so if you really care for more info....say the word!
