    What Wah?

I'm buying my first Wah and don't want to spend a fortune. Want something reliable that covers all the wah user sounds I love - Slash, Clapton, Hendrix, Satriani etc.
Looked at a George Dennis, crybaby and Morley. Is it true to steer clear of the morley cause it sounds crap?

I use the Dunlop Hendrix wah and I love it. Had the same one for years and gig it all the time. built like a tank and sounds great.

I only have ownership experience with Dunlop, and I give praise to the
535Q. Has mid boost, multi settings of sweep range, and is sturdy as anything.

Morley makes a great wah. The Bad Horsie is a very nice one.

Just don't get a Boss Auto wah--be a man a use your foot.

Other than that, the only advice I can give you is to buy the power
adapter because the batteries don't last long.

Good luck and cheers from Texas.

The Morley is HARDLY a crappy pedal.
I believe that all the Morley Wahs now have True Bypass built DIRECTLY into them. AND you can always get the Bad Horsie Contour Wah to adjust your tone as well. -Red43j
Eddie must think I'm a BOZO to want to drop THAT much on one of his new Charvel Guitars!

I use a bad horsie, it auto switches on and off when you use it, but keep in mind, it is spring loaded to return to zero. Thats ok for me, but if you like to get sounds by depressing the pedal part way, horsie will not work well.

I own the Zakk Wylde Crybaby wah, and have since played the Dunlop 535Q and realized I made the wrong choice with the Zakk Wylde wah. The mid boost and the adjustable sweep are great features, and even if you don't tweek this, it still sounds like a vintage Crybaby.

I own a Dunlop Crybaby Wah (orignal I think) and I love it sounds great. I've heard some cool stuff about the Morely pedals too!!

I have a Vox V-847 wah that I modded with a true bypass switch, and it's very nice sounding. You can pick them up used for $40-60 and the switch only costs about $10. A great wah.

I highly recommend the Budda "Bud-Wah." Real throaty, and works great with a lot of gain.
