I dunno, but Richie Blackmore's band was called Rainbow, if that helps.

We must be over the Rainbow....................................that's how the show started out, with that little thing from the Wizard of Oz.

Sorry for the off topic mention, but it comes to mind whenever I think of Blackmore for some reason.

No!! I know the answer though. It ties Dio, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Vai, Ozzy and Def Leppard together pretty well.

    Think Riverdogs.

Thank God it's Vivian, I just went on this 20 minute rant last week about how he is such an underated guitar player and that he kicked a lot of ass on that song specifically!

I don't understand why Vivian's playing is so laid back in Leppard. The guy can shred, but he hasn't done so in one song with Def Leppard. I know the band is constantly trying to get themselves on the radio, but they don't seem to understand that people don't want to hear Def Leppard sounding like soft rock or worse yet a boy band. I'm okay with evolving, and I thought "Slang" was a good step for them in '96, but since then they haven't been able to make up their minds. You can't tell me shredding doesn't come natural to Vivian. I know he now says he doesn't like heavy metal, but he's gotta have a little of that left in him. I was just listening to "We Are Stars"...lol...and Vivian's solo is amazing. I'd like to see him try that style with Leppard, and give them a little juice, because they are fading away...
