    New Halen, CT

Ladies and Gentlemen The Mighty Van Halen is Over and I saw the visual.
I live in North Haven, CT and attended the LWAN shows. Currently the New Haven Colisium is being torn down. It is a sad sight but concerts have moved to other venues. This was the place were I saw the mighty Halen for the first time. I will never forget Eddie's wireless shitting the bed and him trying to use a cord!! It was an incredible place for concerts - just down and dirty!!! As I passed it the other day you could see inside - seats still in the upper section but no walls. It just hit me hard and I thought this is a place were music came alive to me - Triumph, Ozzy, Halen, Priest, Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, Mountian, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard - You name it they played there!!!!!!

Just sad news and a sad visual!!!

It just seems par for the course with Van Halen..........

I drove by the Coliseum the other day. You're right, it IS a sad sight. I have a lot of memories of that place too. All the shows I went to, and especially the LWAN show (I went the first night).
I hate the fact that the casino is getting most of the shows now. It's so much farther of a drive and then there's the gambling thing...

Not the case here, I asked a question, "Delayed from October?" See the question mark at the end? That means it's a question. As for the link, I posted that as a reference to the previous discussion where it was stated that the demolition was scheduled to take place on October 31st. Thank you very much.

What other information did you want? I posted the following info:
    a) Who the interviewee was (Mikey)
    b) When it took place.
    c) Where it took place.
    d) Where it was published.
    e) When it was published.
    f) Where to find it.
    g) A summary of what topics were covered.
    h) An exact copy of what questions were asked.

That's a hell of a lot more info than many topics in "Main" have. I can't help it if you'd rather not pay the $4.99 cover price, or go stand at the grocery store or Wal-Mart and read it it there...
Here's another piece of info for you, the cover, so you'll know exactly what to look for when you get there: http://www.metaledgemag.com/images/AprilCover.jpg

So, now that this thread is polluted, I wish for you to have a nice day.

ron, do you work for the magazine? Cuz you're sure trying to sell it like you do. We didn't care about the when, the what, the where. We wanted the answers to the questions.

Anyway, this thread is about the NH Coliseum. may it rest in peace.

Nope, I paid full cover price ($4.99) for a copy at the same time that I bought a copy of the Feb 2006 Hit Parader ($5.99, ouch!) for the EVH article. I'll most likely cut the stories (interviews) from each mag and throw the rest away (recycle actually). But I'm sure that's more than you wanted to know.

Back to the topic at hand. Are there any web cams, or video of the destruction?
