Here's a few tidbits from ESPN's John Clayton...

Edge- He said he would be leaving Indy and could end up in Miami if Ricky gets traded. This one makes no sense to me. Isn't one of the reasons behind trading Ricky to open up the full time job for Brown? Williams was in a position last year that he had to keep his mouth shut and was happy to share carries. I don't see Edge sharing with anyone.

Alexander- He said he would be staying in Seattle after drawing some interest from Childress and the Vikings.

TO- He predicts he would sign with Denver, as did Michael Irvin.

Lendale White- mentioned he thought the Cardinals would draft White in the 1st round.

Don't care to have the Edge in Miami and sure don't want TO. I do hope a better team gets TO like Denver or KC. I hope Miami gets a good young QB with their first pick. I wouldn't be against Ricky staying, but if we could get trade value out of him...

Here's a few more tidbits to chew on...

    Sports Illustrated's Rumor Mill:

The Broncos have had at least two internal discussions about acquiring Dolphins running back Ricky Williams, but the teams have not talked about a deal. The Denver Post, citing two NFL sources, reported this week that coach Mike Shanahan might consider trading for Williams but likely only if the team does not trade for receiver Terrell Owens.
    -- Miami Herald

Redskins vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato denied Internet and broadcast reports Wednesday linking the team to Terrell Owens. "Our head coach [Joe Gibbs] said it before," Cerrato said. "We think he's an outstanding player, but he just doesn't fit us."
    -- Washington Post

For those who gasped when they found out the Chiefs were interested in talking to Terrell Owens, or wondered whether Kansas City was feigning interest to drive up the price on AFC rival Denver, the answer came Wednesday in Herm Edwards' eyes. Edwards said a meeting between Terrell Owens and the Chiefs may happen soon.
    -- Kansas City Star

Shaun Alexander and the Seahawks might be together for the last time Sunday at Ford Field. Alexander said he would give the team first shot at re-signing him, but if there's no deal by March 3, the start of free agency, consider him gone.
    -- Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

How many teams will bid for Shaun Alexander if he hits the open market? It's hard to say. But the Vikings have a new owner and salary cap money to burn ($18 million under). So do the Cardinals ($25 million under), who will be moving into a new stadium next year. And the Browns ($24 million under) could be a player, too. It's conceivable that a team like the Eagles or Cowboys, possibly one impact player away from Super Bowl status, could enter the fray.
    -- Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

If anybody knows a scouting report on San Diego's quarterbacks, it's new Jets assistant Brian Schottenheimer. The Jets need a quarterback, and have the draft's fourth overall pick as ammunition -- the exact spot in which Philip Rivers was selected. San Diego would prefer not to trade either Rivers or Drew Brees, but if it had to part with one, the Chargers might prefer to deal Brees.

Oh, I don't think anyone is surprised, surely not me, just the timing. Usually when a player that everyone expects is retiring gets asked after the "big game" we get a response like "I can't talk about that right now. All I can say this is the greatest moment of my life. I'll have to sit down in a few weeks with my wife and family and see if I still want to play...", etc, even when everyone and their brother knows it's over.

I can't see Edge in Miami either. It would hinder Brown's development alot if he had to go through this again. As far as Ricky, I'm not sure how much you could get for him. Its not like he's going to be traded for a 1st round pick. Maybe a 3rd of 4th-that's about all I see.

I hope Paul Allen does whatever it takes to keep Alexander. This town will riot if they let Shaun go. I think Paul Allen is too smart of a businessman to let him go. He equals big $$$ up here...

They also need to resign Hutchinson, Mack Strong, and Jerevicius...

They didn't win it all this year, but I'm mighty proud of my Seahawks!!!

Thanks for the great season and lots of positive memories!

    Default Alexander in Purple?

I think Alexander would look better in purple than the somewhat greenish-blueish color he's wearing now. No offense OLO! I don't see it happening, but I didn't see the Moss trade with the Raiders happening last year either.

Okay, I didn't know where else to put this, so forgive me if I placed it in the wrong spot. Any thoughts on the SB ads? The funniest ones were the career builder ones. I laughed my ass off at the losing sales one and the I work w/jackasses one. I saw one tonight where the guy was trying to give a presentation to the monkeys and they were using laser pointers on him. I guess I find them funny b/c I work with jackasses and monkeys.

Some of them were okay, some not, but did anyone see that hideous Burger King spot in the first break?

Good Lord Almighty, whatever ad agency sold that piece of tripe to BK should be burned to the ground and all its inhabitants flogged unmercifully.

Then you should take the bigwigs at BK and give them all lobotomies for paying millions to have this stinking cesspool of a commercial in the primo ad block of the Super Bowl.

Chicks dressed like slabs of meat, tomato slices, onions...dancing around and singing "Hold the pickle, hold the lettuce..." Yeah, gimme a Whopper right now, baby. I'm SOLD!

Bud Light as usual had a few - the "Magic Fridge" one and the "Guys On The Roof" one stick out - a friend of mine said "If only the beer was as good as the commercials" - the FedEx one with the cavemen
