    Default Your First Car,

I did a search to see if this has already been posted, didn't find anything, but if I missed it I'm sorry and a Mod can get rid of this.

My first car was in 1985, which was a 1972 Dodge Charger SE...
Looked just like this, minus the nice steel wheels...

My first car was a, Triumph TR-6. Color was British Racing Green. The car had a convertible top, and could, "Pull in some wool"!!

Had that car about 2 years, when a moron, running from the cops, cut across a parking lot at a mall, and totalled the fucking thing. Oh well, such as life.

1969 VW Squareback, complete with Van Halen stickers and surfboards in the back. Classic cliched stoner mobile. When I was up at Chico, having moved on to a Nissan pickup and having left it in the barn at home, my Dad asked me if I wanted to keep it as a token of my coming of age, I said nah, and he sold it. Regret that decision now.

1980 My dad baught me a 69 firebird from my sister... which means he baught the same car twice.

unfortuantely I was already a guitar guy and not much of a car guy, so I abused it and wished I had it now.

In 1980 I worked all summer and saved every cent of my check for 12 weeks, and paid $1500 + t/l for a cherry 1971 Torino. I owned the car before I had a license. I wanted a Camaro, but Dad had a Torino and talked me into this one. It was so Gdamn fast I nearly killed myself more than once gettin to the top end. It ate a timing chain a couple years later.

I have a picture in a box somewhere..

76 Sunbird. Bright red with matching vinyl interior that heated up to about 975 degrees in the summer.

I loved that car. Bucket seats, rode super-low and had the hottest little V-6 I've ever seen. Didn't want to screw up the stock equipment, so I bought a Sparkomatic under-dash cassette player and 2 Jensen Triax II speakers that I set upright--never mounted--in the back window.

What can I say? I looooooves me some treble. As far as I'm concerned, if your eardrums don't squirt blood every time Alex hits a cymbal, it ain't Van Halen.

1974 Ford XB Falcon. Similar to this, except mine was a gold colour.

My first car, 1982 Mazda 626 LX. This is actually the right color, but this one is a bottom-end model, mine was an LX...had rims, auto-everything, sunroof. It was a pretty nice car for a 16-year old kid in 1987. My parents gave it to me since my mom got a new car, it was hers.

Below was my first new car, which was a brand new model at the time, 1988 Mazda MX-6 GT. Had everything on it, and it was pretty damn quick for a 2.2 L 4-cylinder. I had to special order it to get black (it was that new and rare) and I waited 3 months for it. Drove it into the ground, hand's down the best car I've ever owned. I bet I have pics of mine, I'll have to look.

My first car was a white 1977 Chevy Monza, 4-cylindar, 1-barrel.

The first car I had sex in was a late 70s/early 80s Chevy Malibu. Nice big back seat.

1981 Honda Civic with a billion miles on it.

I was hot tricking out Japanese cars before it was cool. Notice the wheel covers and the double wipers....

The bike was an '84 Honda Ascot....my graduatio gift. This picture is from 1991 and about 125lbs ago....no joke.

Actually I think most of us are Dave, Sam, and Mike fans. There's just a small group of people who have strange allegiances and like to get into petty pissing contests that I can't believe everyone on this site isn't bored of. - Brett
