    Default Essential 70s rock albums

I've got quite a bit of 80s albums in my collection and now I'm looking to expand into the 70s. I've got quite a few of the big albums from that time. I've got a couple Who and Pink Floyd CDs but other than that my collection is pretty lacking in 70s stuff.

WAS SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE ALL OF THIS GREAT MUSIC! THE 70'S (IMO) IS THE GREATEST DECADE OF MUSIC ALL AROUND(WHETHER IT IS ROCK OR COUNTRY) I SERIUOSLY DOUBT THERE WILL EVER BE ANOTHER DECADE OF MUSIC THAT WILL EVEN COME CLOSE.YOU COULD PLAY ALMOST ANY OF THESE ALBUMS ON THE RADIO TODAY AND THE MUSIC IS STILL AS FRESH AS IT WAS BACK THEN.THESE KIDS THAT HAVE GROWN UP IN THE LAST 20 YEARS DO NOT KNOW WHAT REAL MUSIC IS.I SAY THAT WITH RESPECT TO GROUPS LIKE ALICE IN CHAINS,TOOL,PEARL JAM.(YOU KNOW WHAT? IT WAS VERY HARD TO EVEN THINK OF ANY BANDS THAT I WOULD EVEN SPEND MONEY ON JUST NOW)

“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

All great albums have been mentioned but how could you guys who have listed aerosmith forget Night in the Ruts? Now even though the band was breaking up, chiquita and Bone to Bone are great songs. Not to mention Mia which is very haunting in sounding... One of my fav's
