"The Failin of Van Halen"-David Lee Roth READ

Roth was discussing the stones and he mentioned the songs he did with Eddie a few years back, he said they were absolutely SMOKING. He said he wanted to play them on the radio, so keep your ears open if he does anytime soon. He said "they'll turn your freaking hair color" and "they sound like they're off the first album".

As strict as the brothers are, I highly doubt this will happen. It will only open serious legal issues for Roth...unless there is something going on with VH and Roth, or Roth knows nothing is ever going to happen, and figures he has nothing to loose.

Could he be just talking about the songs he did of the first Best of CD? Those are some songs he did with Ed a few years back. Giving them some good build up.

I predict an internet meltdown of people trying to download these songs if DLR actually plays them.

Oh, I I get dibs on the first download. Everyone else has to wait.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em. -

I'm sure Dave can't play the song without Eddie's permission. It'll never be released.

Why couldn't he play? He co-wrote them. I believe he said "maybe I should play those on the radio". I say message the radio station, all of us, and petition it to be done. Dave will at least mention our efforts on the show.

He said they were six demos that he did a few years back at the "2nd Van Halen failin". He asked aloud if he could play them on the radio. He said the tracks were phenomenal and sounded like they could have been on the first album. He praised Ed's playing on the tracks.

Unfortunately, he also confirmed that his sources in the VH camp told him VH was considering doing RockStar.

I think Roth was misinformed about the rockstar thing like the rest of us. Besides, we all know damn well the problem these days isn't the singer, it's Eddie and Alex.

LOL, did he read that on the internet.

I thought the rockstar bullshit was put to bed a long time ago, enough already.

Did anyone start an official "Dave's radio show" thread yet so there's not a new thread everytime Dave burps?
