    Default Concert Tours 2006

Are any of you out there starting to get the itch for some concert action?

One thing about living in Seattle is the concert season really dries up after the summer until the following spring. This year is showing more promise with dates scheduled here for Foreigner, Disturbed, Coldplay, Queen and Paul Rodgers, Cheap Trick and Aerosmith / Lenny Kravitz and Motley Crue a mere 6 hour drive away in Kelowna, British Columbia.

My wife and I are allready on tap for Motley Crue since I travel to Kelowna once a month for business and am just waiting for the Cheap Trick tix to go on sale. Queen and Paul Rodgers will be attended also I'm sure.

In any case are any of you really starting to get the bug over some live shows and who do you plan on seeing this year or who do you hope comes to your neck of the woods.

I'm hoping for John Hiatt, Sammy, AC/DC, Queesnsryche and maybe a new Velvet Revolver tour.

I'm obviously already seeing Elton John and David Gilmour, I'm really hoping for AC/DC, The Who, The Darkness, and at least some word on a tour from Rush and Van Halen

-MikeL, showing off that sharp wit of his.

"You may recognize some of these chemicals. Let's start with cyanide...The one the Aum Shinrikyo cult attempted to use to commit mass murder in a Tokyo subway in May 1995...The same cyanide produced routinely--1.4 million tons per year--for use in the production of plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and so on. It seems that those who put small amounts of cyanide in subways are terrorists. But those who produce it in mass quantities and contaminate broad reaches of soil, water, and air, killing countless living beings, are not terrorists, but rather capitalists, and are counted among the finest and most powerful people on the planet."

"You know what's weird to me is Christians who are against the death penalty. After all, if it weren't for the death penalty, we wouldn't celebrate Easter!"

Angus and Malcolm already stated last year that new AC DC is scheduled for release in late spring, followed by a worldwide tour the rest of the year.

If Sam's on time with his new Wabo LP, they'll tour all summer.

A few folks at Sludge and Blabber, although there's nothing on the official website and they're WAY fan friendly most of the time, said that Neil commented in interviews late last year that Rush was already in the studio after Neil finished his Anatomy of a Drum Solo bit and wants to release a new LP by fall, then tour. And I must see their next outing, it's been too long and I've already written it in blood. I'm having a Rush renaissance lately. Damn they're good.

I'd sure like to see the follow ups to Scorpions' Unbreakable and Billy Idol's Devil's Playground, accompanied by tours naturally. Especially Bill, IF Stevens keeps playing axe on the next LP and tour. Still staggered that last year's Idol show in Ventura made it all the way up to within my top three shows ever by any band. Outstanding.
