    Default Art Bell's Wife Dead..

    In Memoriam:
    Ramona Bell
Art Bell's beloved wife of fifteen years, Ramona, died unexpectedly last night after an asthma attack. At present, the exact cause of Mrs. Bell's death has not been determined. It apparently took place during her sleep.

Until her death, Art and Ramona Bell had not been apart a day since they were married. Mrs. Bell had suffered from asthma for years, and took her normal steps to control the attack, which occurred sometime last night in Laughlin, Nevada where the Bells were taking a brief vacation. Ramona Bell was 47 years old.

Our deepest condolences to Art and his family.

Yeah, it sucks. He's had it rough the last few years, family wise.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.
Michael did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

That's too bad. Art is really one of the best in the radio business. His shows have been much more about esoteric technologies, unusual history, and odd events than the paranormal the last few years. They're always interesting. It's been a real bummer that he's only on three or so times per month now, as the people he's chosen to replace him on the show just aren't worth listening to. I've heard George Snory talk about numbers and tarot cards way too many times.

Pretty sad. She should have had a lot more time left.

Yeah, I do like his other show topics better, rather than always the paranormal stuff.

Art seemed to really love his wife. They both ran an FM radio station, and they traveled the world together. It's a shame.

This is sad, I've been an Art Bell fan since I'd catch him on KDWN in Las Vegas (The show carried all the way to the Pacific, I still listen to the show on a Reno station.)

It's also scarey because I'm asthmatic too. I got a case of the flu over Christmas and it got into my lungs, when I was younger it was no big deal but now it's a major event. I'd have coughing fits where I'd almost black out.

    Blue skies, Ramona...

    Thas very sad.

I am also a ART BELL fan. The poor guy really has had shitty things happen to him and his family the past few years. Art is a class act, it seams as though Radio guys with his skill and talent are far and few between these days.

Horrible news......Art would talk about his wife alot on his show. You could tell he dearly loved her. My thoughts go out to Art & their children.

That is too bad. She was young. This is kind of weird too. We had a 47 year old lady die because of an asthma attack just about two weeks ago. She got up one morning and the asthma was bad, but she was stubborn and wouldn't go to the hospital. When she finally gave in and agreed to go it was too late. She coded on the way to the hospital. Is it just because I am getting older that 47 doesn't seem that old?
