Default Alec Baldwin on SNL last night

It was a pretty funny show. The guy may be a dick (I don't know), but he is damn good on that show.
I was hoping that they would bring back the "Pete Sweady" character since its the holiday season and no one can resist his "Sweady Balls".
But maybe its best to leave the original as it was, since its one of the classic SNL skits of all-time.
'Old Van Halen, when I was in it-classic Van Halen-makes you wanna drink, dance and screw, right? And the new Van Halen encourages you to drink milk, drive a Nissan and have a relationship.' - David Lee Roth.

They did mention it at the very beginning of the show.
    Just go for it!

    Your right, I forgot.
Nice to see that Tim Meadows is still alive, has anyone ever seen him and Don Cheadle in the same room? Just wondering.

One of the best skits he did was on a camping trip with Canteen Boy (Adam Sandler).

I haven't been watching SNL very much lately, but Dane Cook's monologue was hilarious.

Has anyone here ever read the book, "Live From New York..."? It's a really comprehensive history of SNL, and it was stated that one of very few guest hosts they really love having back for repeat gigs is Alec Baldwin. The other was John Goodman. They said they can always count on having a really positive experience and a great show when they're hosting.
"Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that."

"This is a lttle prayer dedicated to the separation of church and state. I guess if they are going to force those kids to pray in schools they might as well have a nice prayer like this: Our Father who art in heaven, and to the republic for which it stands, thy kingdom come, one nation indivisible as in heaven, give us this day as we forgive those who so proudly we hail. Crown thy good into temptation but deliver us from the twilight's last gleaming. Amen and Awomen. ."

"I think it's the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately."

    -George Carlin 1937 - 2008

I have. Great read. Turns out Chevy and Bill threw down more than once, and they're both high maintenance primadonnas from most insider reports.

You're preachin' to the choir, bruddah. As far as SNL alumni goes, there's no beating Steve, Chevy, and Bill.

Steve and Bill can still put out the goods...although Steve's doing more family fare of late...but still, you got The Jerk, The Man with Two Brains, Roxanne, LA Story, Three Amigos. Then Bill's got Stripes, that Ghostbusting gig, What About Bob, Groundhog Day, Scrooged, and his serious stuff too...Chevy's taken a bit of a dive, as we all know. That said, he's still The Man in three of the top comedies of all time...Caddyshack, Vacation, and Fletch.

Between the three of 'em, they pretty much define classic comedy of our generation.

The BILL O'REILLY "No-Spin Zone" skit was even grate...

BALDWIN was funny as Barney FRANK, but the final "letter to the editor" correcting BILL about "Tom CRUISE marrying, and trying to get 'LARRY' HOLMES into 'cosmology'" was pretty funny....

Right on LowLife, it is not very often that show is funny anymore!
My dad doesn't like ANY of the Baldwins...no real reason he just doesn't like them. haha.

BUT he watched the whole show last night and finally said he doesn't hate Alec Baldwin anymore, and said after looking at all the clips/sketches conceeded that he is fairly talented.

Tim Meadows was funny, "I am still on the show, they just haven't given me any sketches for the last 6 years".

I guess there won't be a Lady's Man II. We can only wonder WHY there was a Duece Bigalow II!
