I can't do it. Not when Rolling Stone had him at #70.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.
Michael did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

Q: who was the biggest douche that you have worked with?

A: Eddie Van Halen hands down he threatened all the stage hands that if we wernt all pushed to the side when he got off stage that he would "bash our faces in"

Now the new David-Lee-Roth-Van Halen album, “Tokyo Dome In Concert,” is available for purchase, and it’s super, super, super, super, super, super, crazy bad. - Doug Elfman

    Default crazy world

wow i just voted. This new world of rock guitar need educating. How can the edge be classed as one of the worlds best????? This world is crazy. A couple of years ago on british tv i saw a programme called " THE WORLDS TOP 20 GREATEST GUITAR PLAYERS". well the count went down and down
and alice cooper did a section on Eddie he was not listed at all and when it came to the worlds number one i laughed my socks off. It was U2s the edge LMAO LMAO LMAO WHAT!! They call him the edge because he only has a half size little finger. I couldnt give a shit about his finger wake up world he is just a basic rythm guitar player. May i share one of the greatest days of my life with you lot.
Back in 95 when the boys went out on tour in Europe with Bon Jovi i was only one of a handful True VH fans in the 60,000 at the Don Valley stadium in Sheffied England. We walked in the stadium on a very hot day and to our surprise there was a sheet of black plastic matting covering the ground which made it unbearable in the stadium. People were passin out because of the heat. Anyways the first couple of bands did there stuff while we all lay on the ground as it was so hot.
Then my boys came on and wow everyone got up and they kicked ass as usual and i was lovin it as i had 5 members of my familly as bon jovi fans and they didnt like Van Halen but were soon converted.
When it came to EDDIE'S solo everyone lay down apart from us Vh fans and wow i was nearly in tears when i saw the whole of those 60000 people rise from the floor and all i could hear was wooooow who the hell is that. Anyways i knew then that Van Halen have just made a household name for themselves here my family was converted and wanted to see them in front of their own croud but, it wasnt to be as the split came after that tour. The world hadnt been educated with Eddie and co. They came close and then threw it all away.
I got tickets for all my familly when Gary had arrived only to be so dissapointed when they had to pull out of the UK tour when Alex injured his arm in Germany, and that was the last of Vh in the uk. I hope i didnt bore u all too much with this , just wanted to tell u about my hope for this great band that nearly made it world wide cheers

Clapton, Page, and Vaughn deserve their higher placements.

But Malmsteen, Vai, and Satch placing higher than Ed? Yikes.
