Default Songs You hate but would Love if...

Are there songs out there that you hate, but would love if...that's the question...

For example, I HATE "Without You" off of VHIII..but only because of the section where they sing "how -long-must this go on"...and they do it a couple times during the song. If that section was removed from the song, I think it woulda been a hit and the Album woulda done respectable at least..it had so much potential..it was simply over produced.

So i was thinking, im gonna try and remove that section from that song and put it on a pub playlist..and i was thinking if anyone else had songs in this category?

Go ahead, list 'em and what would make the song work for you...

Interesting. I guess if it's a song i hate, i don't give it enough time to think about how i would like it.

I can think of some Aerosmith songs. TOO MUCH HORNS! And a lot of there songs start off in the middle of the chorus, like The Other Side for instance. I hate that.
    Dealing with it.

Actually everytime i hear...Don't want to miss a thing, by Aerosmith. I can't help but think VH with hagar on vocals could of done this much much better. Not that i would of wanted them to, but that song launched aerosmith again.

That is a truly horrible song and I'm embarrassed for Aerosmith that they decided to sing that piece of garbage.

There was some music made at a studio in California called 5150 from 1985-2005 that would've sounded better with David Lee Roth writing lyrics and singing it.

Some late '70s, early '80s tunes would've sounded better without the industrial droning keyboards ("Lucky Man" by Emerson Lake and Palmer, "Tom Sawyer" by Rush, etc)

Double Fantasy and Milk And Honey could've made one good solid John Lennon album instead of two shared affairs with Mrs. Lennon.

Just about anything by the Doors would've sounded better if Morrison had called in sick and Manzarek's keyboards had been broken.

Van Halen III could have used a lot less Gary Cherone and a lot more David Lee Roth and Michael Anthony. The great Van Halen fuck up of 1996.

Amen to that. III was definitely lacking the Mikey touch.

Yeah no shit. But I do seem to recall your past comments re: The Doors so I guess I can't fault you for your obvious lack of ......................musical diversity........J/K!!

BTW - Where's Arnold from Different Strokes??? That irritating song comes to mind now!!!

For me, any Van Halen song that was cut for radio. I can't stand listening to a song that gets butchered for the sake of radio.

    Default Triple threat

"I'm The One" is perfect except for the "Shooby Dooby Doo Wahhh" garbage. Lame, never liked it.

"Romeo Delight" would be perfect without the "Feel my heartbeat...." breakdown section. Why slow down such a rockin song?

VH3 would be a great album if it was only one track: Neworld

"Source of Infection" would be a great song if Sammy had a vocal infection the day they recorded it. (or spent more than 5 minutes on the lyrics

"Up For Breakfast" **see "Source of Infection"

It's called DYNAMICS. Great songwriting tool. Takes you on a bit of a trip. You should try it sometime...
