Default VH referenced on My Name is Earl tonight

There was a brief mention/joke about Van Halen on tonight's episode of My Name is Earl. To make it as brief as I can, basically, Earl was trying to explain to his brother how something bad can actually be a blessing in disguise. Earl's brother Randy responded by saying "Yeah, kind of like how that guy got kicked out of Van Halen for wearing those funny pants. What was his name again?" It was pretty funny. I can't imagine too many people forgetting Dave's name, but in the context of the show it was a pretty funny mention.

I saw that and about choked. But the way it was worded, it could have been Sammy too. Sam wears funny pants. But it was sooooo funny. I was glad I didn't have anything in my mouth at the time.

I believe that was 'Pretty Woman'.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.
Michael did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

A: Eddie Van Halen hands down he threatened all the stage hands that if we wernt all pushed to the side when he got off stage that he would "bash our faces in"

Now the new David-Lee-Roth-Van Halen album, “Tokyo Dome In Concert,” is available for purchase, and it’s super, super, super, super, super, super, crazy bad. - Doug Elfman

    I don't get it.

How come everytime someone hears a VH tune on a tv show or if you see a VH poster in the background of some movie or they play "Jump" on a basketball game someone starts a thread about it?

I mean, people actually get excited about these things?

"have everyone!! I heard "Panama" on PBS tonite!!!

    "WOW ME TOO!!!"

I just don't get it. I mean why do adults who like VH get so excited over the most mundane things?

No offense but...isnt it a little strange? Does this kinda thing happen on other forums with other bands?

"Hey guys!! I heard Aerosmith at my cousins football game tonite!!!!"

"coooooooooooool man!! I once saw an Aerosmith poster on an episode of Blossom!!"

    Just think its really.really strange.

I caught it too. The exact line,(talking about blessings in disguise) was" Like when that guy got kicked out of VH for wearing funny pants, then he got even more famous. What was his name again?"

The best line by far was in last week's show. Randy was trying to explain what the County Fair was and he mentioned "They got bands you thought were dead." Ouch.

Much like if someone spotted Eddie going out to the liquor store and buying a case of wine and a carton of smokes and on the way out he handed a homeless man a $100 dollar bill. Most posts would be about him buying the wine and smokes.

If someone anyway related to "CAMP VH" so farts, its a front page story here.

I think there is a whole new world out there.

This place always reminds me of the SNL skit where William SHatner is the guest host and they do a skit about a "TREKKIE" convention and he tells everybody to "get a life".
