    Default DLR South Florida Review

I have to say I really enjoyed the show. The Hard Rock was about half full at best which was great because you could walk in right before the show and sit just about anywhere. No line at the bathroom and no line for beer. Dave's band is great. Set list is the same as reported before. Dave's vocals seemed good for Dave. The crowd loved it and were really into it. I would go again for sure.

I can't see Dave back in VH. I love the guy but he looks and acts like a goofball on stage. Its just a shame that rock music has sunk so far that Dave can't record some new music and draw bigger crowds on his own.

When I saw Dave playing with two guitarists I was thinking about how before the Van Hagar reunion Sam said he wanted to get VH back with both of them. I think this is the only way it would work with Dave. When they did the classic VH set with Dave, Sammy could jam like the 2nd guitarist does in the DLR Band. Also Sam and Mike could really pick up the slack on the backing vocals which Dave's new band does great and was not there when I saw the Sam and Dave Tour. I guess Dave would have to leave for the Van Hagar set. Any way just a thought and without Eddie getting his act together I guess there will be no VH anytine soon.

    Default Interesting

I don't normally reply to posts by people who review concerts and stuff, but then it hit me- that would be pretty kewl to see Dave on vocals, Ed playing lead and Sammy playing rhythm or whatever and Mike and Al. Interesting. I doubt that Dave would ever share the stage with Sam, but it would be very sweet to see. Do you know how unique it would be for them to lay down tracks with Sam and Dave on a studio album? Or even on the same song? You know, when you think about it, how can a little pride keep you from just going out and having fun? Then again, it all comes back to one particular guitar hero...huh hem....

Thanks goodness. I know DLR has sunk to playing bars and family reunions, but I couldn't imagine him sequencing in the drums.

Didn't Ozzy get on stage with Dio and Black Sabbath once? Maybe I was dreaming.

It's ironic, but I have more confidence Sam/Dave could make this work than EVH.
